What are you doing for christmas day mate

Normally go back upto the Midlands to see my brothers and their families but it's lockdown central and my SiL's a type1 diabetic so I'm staying here, our middle kid (brother) will be on his way as soon as he parks is truck tommorow, and a mate whose parked here are having Christmas dinner in my truck. I might have a small glass of port to celebrate.

Coming to this late but

"260 working days in a year"??  Je ne comprends pas.

5 days a week

4 weeks a month

12 months or 5x4x12=240  (but I did fail my maths O level first time around,,, ;))

Otherwise I agree with what you are saying.  Looks like a days work and £750 for a 3 man crew seems reasonable particularly if you are not having to take the timber away.

Confess I do struggle with pricing, though.

Id go with that - dependent if its 'a mate ' ( less 100 ) I dont get tea out of them ( plus 100 ) K

At risk of going off topic - a mate’s dad when I was growing up was a joiner doing bespoke windows, staircases etc. He had a saying about “it’s worse than being in prison” for anywhere he went that the people didn’t offer him a drink - the implication being than even in clink you get a cuppa. If no drinks on the first day he used to take a flask and stick some extra on the bill!!
