Dissapointed  the police were so tame ?

Did tours of NI in the eighties and experienced far greater provocation on riot duty than I saw on what little media coverage there was, what none of us ever did was resort to throwing old women to the floor. If you think that’s the way that British police should behave you are totally deluded. The fact that most people at that protest were just normal hard working decent people whom are starting to realise this virus bullshit has gone way way too far did not get so much as a sniff of media attention.

We have to be so careful with making judgement and being influenced by headlines.
Watching that video closely shows the woman in the thick of it between 2 or 3 police. The police were not advancing, merely defending their line. The woman had clearly advanced on their line and was attacking them, so they pushed her away. Off balance, she fell backwards, as we have all done in a schoolyard scuffle.
But its just what the protesters and the media want so they headline it as "woman thrown to ground by police" so that they can feed the fire and cause more trouble
Its also obvious that rabble raisers were instrumental in this, they went to the so called 'peaceful' anti lockdown rally armed with posters saying "no gestapo policing", so were obviously intent on stirring the police up so that they could wave the plackards.

Our police do a great job with limited resources, lets give them some support, eh?

Bunch of troublemaking twats who were only there for confrontation and if some got pushed, fell over, got struck with a batten for threatening the hard working police well that’s just tough - should have stayed at home.  All those officers trying to keep control of a pointless protest that could be out catching burglars, murderers, paedophiles etc. Everyone moans that nothing being done about the real crimes, yet waste the valuable resources of those that try to keep law and order .not defending the incompetent, bent, lazy ones as there are a few of those, but on the whole most try to do a good job whilst being hamstrung by increasing mounds If paperwork and political correctness.

rant over!

Do you not think they have worked bloody hard in the last year with Brexit and Covid? I surely would not have wanted their jobs.
The Tories spend long days trying to find ways to keep the country running, whilst Labour spend hard days trying to find ways to criticise every Tory move.

Police do indeed do a good job but other than that the comments are just rubbish and that’s not how I see it on the video, the officer involved in the incident with the woman in question clearly goes to town on her. Compare this with the softly softly BLM approach????
