This virus has killed thousands and infected millions, it has wiped billions off the stock market impacting on all our pensions, savings etc. It will impact all our lives for years to come both financially and possibly through our health.

Current info is that it emanated from a fish market in Wuhan China and is closely linked to a virus found in bats and less so from a Pangolin so the illegal animal markets for Chinese food appear to be the prime cause.

My view is that after this has been brought under control and the scientists have strong agreed evidence as to the exact cause, all countries need to get together and send in a task force similar to Nuclear disarmament/chemical weapons investigators to China to police the causes and ensure it doesn't happen again. The Chinese wont do this as has been shown with their reluctance to tell the rest of the world that yet again, another virus is coming our way.

The next one may wipe out 50%+ of the population and our Governments should be looking to pushing home the point that what has happened is totally unacceptable and needs action to ensure it never happens again.

This all sound great but who really has the power to tell  China what to do, to stop live animal food markets etc, it’s not like the likes of the USA and UK are saints now is it?

If you state that you are going to take a task force if scientist to China a) you will get told to F**k off

b) arrive without invitation, scientists will disappear.

If we all felt strongly enough about the lives that are dying then we the people, the population of the world would by not buying their products. Nothing would change their tune faster than that and they could not point fingers at any governments either.

But we all know we're far to selfish for that to ever happen.

But it isn’t just their products though, it’s products sold by well known leading brands that have assembly plants in China or receive parts and components from China that are assembled elsewhere and branded made in EU or USA.

Agreed...done my little bit on that for years..

One can't help but wonder....if as soon as this virus was discovered we had isolated China.... as in properly isolated..it would have been contained....but no what did we do.....sent Ruddy rescue flights...to rescue the folk who've been running sweatshops and peddling the crap for years...rant over..

All we could possibly do is hit them where it hurts and thats their manufacturing. So by not buying anything made in China they would take notice and take it real quick.

Of course that is a fantasy, it would never happen, we dont care about others enough to do that. We all happily buy everything from  Primark £3 jumpers to Iphones from there and will continue to do so. Even without C-19 we dont care about real slavery over in China or Asia. So China will continue to laugh in our faces.

Spud all what you say is spot on and a new virus maybe here sooner then we think, those evil bastards are still having there open air animal markets and have live dogs and other animals ready to be killed, chopped up and eaten, they are a evil race and no one can tell me any different that if a human being can kill a dog and roast it then in my book there is something seriously wrong with them.
