So you dont think closing those markets bats etc would help?

Where the feck did you extrapolate that from???
I just pointed out that the actions of ONE hungry Chinese guy does not reflect on over a billion individuals.
Culturally we are all pretty hideous.

You're right.
Here in the "civilised"(???) west,
we keep the majority of our chickens in cages smaller than a sheet of A4.
Never being able to move or see the sun or be outdoors.
Or just read any British cookbook from pre 20th century.

Yes you can eat badger, a very strong gamey flavour, best mixed with pork in a rillete.

battery hen farming stopped about 10 years ago but it still goes on in Europe

The causes of the clusterfuck in Italy will be analysed and computed when this this has burned out. There are many contributing factors to the perfect storm, and seizing on this or that as the cause is pointless. The above graphic shows the relative death rate from all causes across Europe. Spain, France and Italy right at the bottom. Top heavy demographics and people just don't die. Why, who can say? Olive oil in the diet maybe? They're all from generations who smoked like chimneys, and have other issues, as elderly people do, dodgy tickers, etc. This flu just pulled the last Jenga block out of a top heavy tower.

Whilst I do not condone battery, or ban chickens at all its a minuscule problem compared to what happens in China. I have not bought eggs in 5 years, prior to that I only bought free-range, or local, and yes, I know free range is not amazing either, hence why I have had my own for 5 years.

Read any book from pre-20th Century? There is a massive clue in the word use used there. ;)

Im not sure why Id wanna eat Badger when I have perfectly good Beaver at home? :D

Rona sounds like the name of a butch women from Glasgow

I quite like Boomer Plague

Better watch out or Scotspine will be gunning for ya. He's a Weegie.

In Glasgow you have to have a prefix, for example Big Rona, or Wee Rona.

Kinda like an episode of Benefit Britain, where we to use a lovely Sink Estate in England it would be Black Rona or White Rona.

Can be virus lurking there too - look at what supposedly happened to Michael Douglas

The actor Michael Douglas discussed his recent throat cancer treatment in an interview with The Guardian this weekend, and revealed that he blamed oral sex for his condition.

When asked by the newspaper if his throat cancer was caused by his many years of heavy drinking and smoking he was quoted as saying: "No, because without wanting to get too specific this particular cancer is caused by HPV, which actually comes about from cunnilingus." Could he be right? Here are some facts about HPV, oral sex and cancer risk.

What is HPV?

The human papilloma virus (HPV) is the name for a group of viruses that affect your skin and the moist membranes lining your body, for example, in your cervix, anus, mouth and throat.

There are more than 100 types of HPV – 40 of which can affect the genital area.

The HPV virus is very common and is easily spread by sexual activity. As many as half the population will be infected at some time in their life. In most cases, the virus doesn't do any harm because your immune system gets rid of the infection. But in some cases, the infection persists and can lead to health problems.

Can HPV really cause cancer?

Yes. While many types of HPV are harmless, other high-risk types can cause abnormal tissue growth and trigger the onset of cancer.

Cancers linked to HPV infection include:
