I have kept the question purposefully broad, as an angel or demon scenario was too silly.

She pops up in lots of other threads and derails them so I thought we could contain her in here!

Then put your reasoning in the comments obviously.

It will be robust no doubt but try and keep it sensible.

Her introduction of neoliberal politics has destroyed our country. It has destroyed our primary manufacturing &  dismantled and sold off everything else. Her legacy is not a positive one for the UK

Sensible as in not resorting to insults when an opinion differs from that of your own !! ????

50/50 good and bad I would say. But like Tony Benn said , she would never go back on her word.

just imagine on hard it was for her to come through the ranks of a old male dominated system.

Many pick a fight with her , and i think most regretted it.

I didn't think she was any good as I'm in favour of at least some nationalisation of heavy industry. Taxpayer owned factories and shipyards to equip the armed forces for a start.

Also not sure the selling off council houses thing was a clever move - lending them a deposit to mortagage a house on the open market would have been better imo. The heavy discounting of the purchase price based on number of years rent paid seemed to me an encouragement to people not to bother trying to work harder to get themselves a place

I can understand using the money from selling the council houses to pay for new houses where they would be of more use or when not as many are needed. If I was to introduce this idea myself they would be sold at market rates to encourage the tenants to work/provide money for new council houses.
