An Avant with a Log Grab is really the dogs danglies. Such precision for placing logs right up to the band to get the full 4.8m cut. Wish I owned one now. :D But I get weekends use.

yeh thanks, just i do like something half decent quality, if i've got a kit i'll use it on all my milled stuff

and anything else that needs strapping for that matter!

what would you recommend i do with these slabs of beech, i've just got 3, 5 ton ratchet straps on them, mega mega tight
they will be outside a little while before they go in the kiln
 
then a sheet of celotex over the top 
 
is there more i should be doing to make sure they don't move, they'll be for table tops so!!

Could put some 2x2 like stickers on the top and beams on top of those running length ways. All strapped to stop warping.
