LOL........ whats with the LOL's.   you think everything has to be done by some rule book..

a lot of people use their old ropes as rigging lines for light rigging don't they..   we have one side goin on about it being shiny and new, and now some goin on about something being old and beaten up.. you can't win can you..

I think its worth reminding people that the fella who made this device has forty years tree work experience under his belt..  I'm sure he knows what he's doin..

Loads of peeps use old climbing line as light rigging rope, it does seem odd to use it in a promo vid though.

He's a tree surgeon/arborist..........  I don't imagine he has any experience in pitching product..

You don’t have to remind me of anything ,you are a clueless c&£t that much is clear and I could not give a fuck about your opinion.

Just so that’s clear also.

If you want to know I will explain ,in the U.K. as a contractor within certain frame works we are required by our insurance companies to have our gear lolered , well you won’t because I doubt you have any insurance for tree work , but if my loler inspector say Pete Mctree saw I had a bit of Yale XTC as a light rigging line I can imagine he would be upset.

I would use my old climbing lines at that most as a tag line..

I would buy xtc for lightweight & natural crotch rigging. Nice to handle & abrasion/heat resistant so good for me - it makes a better rigging rope than a climbing line. A bit expensive these days though.

I think that using old rope for rigging is dumb at the best

You work on & rig bigger trees than many, so yes, I would question your use of such a lightweight rope & would just walk away if you presented old climbing rope for me to inspect.

I do have insurance but I'm not goin to loler anything..  I do that myself..  its worked up till now at least..  and seein as I'm not interested in doing massive jobs I don't suppose I need government regulations dictating what I can and can't do...

LOLER is only a legal requirement. Ask your insurance company when the shitt hits the fan.

Your attitude really drags our industry down - thanks for sharing :(
