Can anybody tell me if school pupils ( year 10 ) get paid while doing work experience.

My Son is doing his work experience here in Germany 3 days a week.

But doesn’t receive any payment or perks whatsoever.

I’m just interested.

thanks

You never used to but when I did it we all got nothing and one of our mates got 50 quid for the week.

We thought he'd won the lottery

No they don't have to be paid at all.  Typical employers trying to get something for nothing.  If they do sod all then fair enough, but if they pull their weight they at least deserve a small token gesture, such as a bottle of tequilla, or whatever it is the kids are drinking these days.

It's Spice that the kids of today are after, allegedly.

A friend, I use that term loosely, runs a Nursery, she pays the work experience girls nothing, not a shilling, tight....

Is she your “special” friend eggs emoji6.png

No. But I would.

I don't like how she uses these work experiance girls though.

It’s entirely at the employers discretion Darrin.

I’ve never felt that a live site was a place for kids, but I’d use them if I could and it would help them.

I would always give them something if they at least tried hard.

I think it’s really important that they get the work=reward thing.

Seems to be working on mine.
