TO's have better things to do with there time than chase rec climbers around parks.Just be sensable. 

Dont damage the trees,or climb with a silky. Keep away from well used paths and members of the public.

Do I really need to put the word "responsibly" after every suggestion?
Yes. Get a mate on the ground.

Apart from liability issues, why be so lazy that you can’t find a suitable tree in the woods?

 

There’s bloody millions of them out there.

Climb where you want. Be polite if confronted. Most people seem to be on the side of the tree climber rather than the high-vis psudo traffic warden types.

You can also claim the tree is your home, though I think you have to notify the postmaster general in advance to make it stick. The eco-warriors used to do this, I presume still do, when they occupy forests slated for bybasses or whatever. It's legal, and the police actually have to defend you against the council unless a court order eviction come down.
