It's a mixed bag. I hate being too hot the whole time, having to drink stupid amounts of water and covering the face in sunblock. On the other hand we have been doing a bit of tidying up around the farm and having dry ground that doesn't turn to mud when driven on and being able to sieve out rocks from piles of earth which are now like sand is a boon. Looks like a cool down is around the corner thankfully.

if its new build get them to dig the crap out of the soil before they turf 


If it’s a new build it’s likely to be rubble with 6 inches of top soil [emoji51]

That’s pretty much standard.  Although the site is on an old farmers field so we might get lucky

Corner plots tend to be the worst as contractors bury excess waste at the end of a ‘run’ of plots with a machine. Like you say, it’s pot luck. Hopefully you’ll get a clean plot.

they strip the top soil off the entire site before stating to build and hope to sell 50% of it to maximize there profits

Our blokes struggling. Me not so much. Definately plan yr jobs fr shade and early start-early finish. Actually spending more money on bottled water than deisel at the mo. K
