For some reason this year Iv had no problem with the heat- the winter we had before it caused me far more grief- in fact I came pretty close to packing it in at one point- so I mentally have ingrained it I’m my mind that I will NEVER moan about heat again.

Bang on!!! Give me heat over rain, snow, wind etc, every time!!!

Some folk just like to moan.

In the process of buying a new build at the moment.  I’m a bit concerned about the turfing aspect

Cover all the turf in sprinklers.

30 mins on 30mins off. 24/7

It is what it is.

Every pro on here gets on with it.

Not being able to lay turf isn’t very high on the priority list.

I didn’t get on with it! I sat on my fat ass and watched the first test against India, bloody good it was too.  No regrets

I reckon we get two weeks in spring and two in autumn where the weather is great for working. It's then either too hot, too cold, too windy or too wet.

This heat is hideous though! Climbing is alright, dragging brash is vomit inducing.

A lot of builders are now holding off until the weather changes, some are turfing the day before people move in so they only have to water it for a day then leaving the owners the responsibility to water it.
If it was me I would ask the builder to wait.
Supposed to cool down towards the end of next week thankfully.
