What are your biggest pet peeves?

Oh and the other one is people insisting on cutting brash with my 18'' saw when there is a perfectly good 12'' to use then blunting it and not telling me

When the customer says "gosh, is that all you want for it, that's cheap I pay my cleaner that much". Ffs!

I had this today, as usual I priced a tall pine to be dismantled on the high side of good money , and the customer said oh we thought it would have been more, and promptly gave me the go ahead. Makes a change from the moaning minnies I suppose.

Any French government website or body which demands you justify yourself by producing endless pieces of paper less than 3 months old and when you have submitted your dossier replies after 28 days that you lack an 'element' which isn't even on the list (2 elements actually) which if not submitted in 5 working days will cause your application to be rejected so requiring a day off work traipsing from one 1970's architecturally challenged building to another where people tell you that you do not need this paper anyway despite us being told to produce it...

I’ve lived in France for well over a decade now, and the obsession with paperwork is one reason, albeit a small one, that we are moving away.

 

I'm just waiting for the forms to be processed allowing us to leave the country.
