Not their job Stubs.

They are in an awkward situation, today was a case in point.

No awkward situation. When I'm subbing I do what the boss man asks me to do, if the customer wants more doing I ask them to ring the paymaster or I ring him and ask what he wants me to do. It's the difference between a good subbie and a bad one.

Yup, if its literally five minutes than no worries, the good will is worth more than seeming like a mercenary. Anything that impacts further productivity is worth something. Depending on who I'm working for ill either quote the work or ring the office.

It all reflects on you as a stubby with how much money you bring to the company.

Spot the mistake we have both made.

My lads are under strict instructions to not do any ‘can you just, without calling me first, as we all know that some customers, if given an inch, will take 10 miles.
And talking of peeves, today again I realise the chipper has been running flat out for the last 10 minutes with no one within 50 yards of it, and all 4 doors of the tipper are wide open, the seats and dash hip deep in chip dust and leaves.

Few things anger me in this world however anybody that touches a brick line that isn’t the bricky laying to it should be strangled with said line.

Anyone found in possession of a spirit level that is accurate to less than +/- 0.5mm per meter should have there’s cscs card removed.

Anyone who refuses a diabetic a regular break time, it’s a major pain and it’s just easier to stick to the dedicated times where possible.

But what seriously annoys me is that a box of crackers contains to many crackers to be reasonably coated by one tube of primula.
