When I went for my HGV medical about ten years the quack said I was obese according to my BMI . On the last medical a few months ago  the quack said they dont use BMI as a reliable indication of health or fitness anymore and that my weight was fine. :confused1:

Bmi has been proven as absolute bollocks.

Take absolutly no stock in its findings.

Too say someone is healthy/unhealthy by weight/age/height without corilating a whole host of other factors is utterly ridiculous...

Agreed.  BMI takes no account of the fact that muscle is very much denser than fat.  According to BMI most male gymnasts, boxers and sprinters are obese.

Correct. I’m in the overweight category but it’s because of my stomach muscles. Not so much a six pack, more a Watney’s Party Seven.
Check out Terry Hale on YouTube. An old fat yank arborist that can still cut the mustard up in the branches. Great guy
