Hawthorn Late this Year?

Our hawthorn hedges seem to be very late to come into leaf this year here in Lincolnshire.  Hardly any leaves showing

Probably the cold held em back a bit, starting to come out here now, a couple of the hedges i laid earlier are greening up now

Now you mention it - had a few first ones out a month ago ( Southerly banks )  - but non of the other Hawthorn  seems to have gone any further, Ash slow also, no bud break . K

I've noticed the same usually have some leaf by now up here in Lancashire

I have a record of bud burst dates for my apple orchards going back decades, this year it is 14 days later than what I would expect.

Slight de rail ...The Hazel is in leaf here .

It has been consistantly grismal.  Everything is slow up here.
