A lot of construction jobs have drugs testing for anyone going to a site induction (ie everyone). Then there is random drugs testing.

I have to admit that some of the guys on site really should be taking performance enhancing drugs though...

I work on plenty of construction sites and have never been drug tested at induction. That said it's a funny old world. I do some subbing for a company that have contracts with HMP Service. I've got clearance to go into two Cat A prisons and also one open prison, when that company applied for me to go into a Cat C prison I was turned down. No reason why just 'yes' Fred and Jim have clearance but Egg ain't coming in here. How's that work?

Its a bit of a yolk really.

Balfours threatened us with random drug tests when we were clearing motorway banks , they made it clear at induction they could turn up at any time and demand a test. Also on a quarry site where we were working there was a total lock in of all contractors in the event of an accident, basically every one on the site was to go to a muster point and wait for a doctor to turn up . Company policy was for everyone on site to be tested, again made quite clear on site induction.

My nephew, (big enough, and old enough to make his own decisions) told me a few weeks ago he is going to get one of these "sleeves". My reply was, "you'll look a right c**t". He told me I was a proper old Dick!

Sounds like he's got the measure of you eggs  :P
