How is a freelance person there to improve a business....

A freelance person is there to work to and up keep the standard of the company just like any other worker onsite wether employed or freelance. The business would still work to a certain standard

By doing exactly what you stated in the second paragraph.

If they didn't do that then the business name would be degraded.

Quite often, I am brought in to do jobs because the firm don't have the staff themselves. Therefore I (and other in the same boat) are improving the reputation of the company and thus the business.

That's what I meant.

As a freelancer life is easy, none of the stress just turn up do the work go home, the least I can do is be as good as i can be at my job and make things go smoothly and without drama for whoever is employing me that day.

And to a certain point improve their position make them more successful so they employ me more and pay me more.

Nope.

This is where it goes wrong. If I was working for your company I'd be as professional as yourself.

Send me a Job card and I will do the job as good if not better than you would.

As a Subby I want more work from you....... I've got to step up to the mark.

In turn I want good money for it.

That's just the different mindset of an employee to a sole trader/ employer.

Being your own boss is not for everyone.

Working paye is not for everyone either

Its the company that sets the mark not the subbie. If they went above and beyond im sure it would be noticed
