Nah! He would not be interested in a swallow, much more likely to want a swift (one)

That's harsh fellas.

I'd give any gull a fair chance.

No swallows at Bolam Hall yet this year, despite increasing vigilance.

None flying around outside yet, either.

Swifts returned to our eaves 3 days ago.

Such a spectacle. You can feel their wind (!!??!!) if you sit out . Summer ain't Summer without a churbling Swallow or a Swifts' scream . Happy days

None at the house yet but I love them when they first come. They seem so pleased to have made it back that they fly in and out of the car port sometimes only a few feet over our heads accompanied by a lot of twittering. (Not the Trump kind!)

They seem to like the wind vane with the two Airedales and treat it like it was their fairground waltzer!

Not a very good example here as they seem to enjoy sitting on it when it is spinning much more violently

It has taken three more weeks for them to return to our car port and we still had the same welcome as above. Their arrival has finally brought an end to the terrible North wind and gave way to a glorious sunny day yesterday

Swifts been here for a little while.

I was sitting outside a bar and the swifts were doing that fly past thing in formation, only 10 ft or so from us, screaming in chorus again and again between the high, close together buildings we have here.

Absolutely glorious sight and sound.

I turned to the guy who next to me and commented how great it was, he hadn't even noticed!

First Swifts spotted here yesterday, sky was clear and I sat in the garden and watched them for ages. I blame them for anything that didn't get done.

Ours have now almost completely gone or died

Think there are only one or two on the farm when by this time we would usually have loads around. Hardly any fly's this year so maybe no food for them but never known a year with so few swallows.

I remember a documentary where some were fitted with trackers and they nested in various parts of UK but when the weather was bad they left the young in the nest and went as far as Holland in search of insects returning to feed the young ones in the same day. Plenty of them flying round here in the last couple of weeks, Swifts and Swallows.
