Budget comes out at 12:30 today. Sounds like some hits for self employed and small business tax. Not sounding great for many of us on here.

Speculation is national insurance rate for the self employed may rise from the current 9% to 12%. Have to wait and see if there is any truth to this.

I thought National Insurance was just that, insurance, not a tax.

This time looks worse for all us hard working SELF-EMPLOYED whilst the big business as usual have the tax havens. This is because we are leaving the EU soon.

I was talking to a bloke a few weeks ago that employs 10 people. His Business Rates have gone up by £4k/year, he's now paying £3k/year into the Work Place Pension fund.

Haven't seen it yet...... NI hike sounds like a kick in the slats. How old will we have to be before the pitiful state pension kicks in? After the last couple of days I'm genuinely thinking I might be too old for this!

what it boils down to really use self employed boys / little firms are a easy target to get bum shafted to pay extra tax there the big giant of google apple and starbuck is just a few of the bigger boys who refuse to pay anything and have high class expensive lawyer to make dodging tax for them cheap. like if i was from the inland revenue i go in every star bucks and take all the takings out the tills and say its going toward your tax bill

It makes me laugh Rob (well it doesn't actually). Whenever we threaten to tax Starbucks they threaten to 'withdraw from the country'.
