Yep and price a new street light into the job and book some local civils lads to be there by 0930 when your just blowing the sawdust up to fit the new light!

I bet a streetlight is cheaper than a crane!

Plenty of room between the lights.felling in a oner is not for everybody:001_rolleyes:

I think it looks like a decent central anchor.

Why not price it with a mewp and/or crane involved. And traffic management maybe.

If you get it, I think I'd opt for climbing slow and steady over the day and think of the ££.

But if you keep seeing it and losing sleep, then at least you've covered you're arse. 👍🏻

As you said it was dead since 2015 I personally wouldn't risk the straight fell as dead elm tends to shatter quite spectacularly on impact.

A decent climber should have that reduced to a pole by elevenses.

I think a crane is overkill. But if your client is willing to pay the extra for the cherry picker then why not?

A 35ton crane is not much and you may deal with it in a safer more efficient way making it just as competitive, a decent sized mewp for that round are way is almost 3/4 the price of a crane so wouldn't even factor for me.

Looks a good place to site the crane as well.

The climb does look that bad either but it depends on how dead and fragile it has become, doubt a GRCS will be much use on that over a normal rigging device.
