Need to do mine, went to a few weeks back but the other side was as sharp as a circle! God only knows how it chipped in that condition! Has anyone used Saturn knives anvils or is genuine the way to go?

I bought genuine but if i had to again i'd just go for one off saturn knives. Bought a set of blades off them a few weeks back. I have 4 other genuine sets but the saturn knives look good. Im happy with them

We have a set from Saturn in rotation and notice no difference in wear or longevity on our TW230.

I'm a wee fella and kinda flexible with it so I did manage to get up into the underbelly and remove the anvils after much cussing and hissy fits.

When I told Mac and Jason at G.M they where surprised and told me they normally remove the flywheel before tackling that horrible job...

It's just that normally, if we need the flywheel out for any reason, ie bearing replacement or blade pocket repair then we'll take that opportunity to see if the shearbars need turning or replacing as it's a cinch without the flywheel in the way..

Just done a training course for 'QTS' in Scotland and they've never had to touch the shearbars on any of their 19-28 Track Chips, all are worked hard and most have high hours....
