Tools worthy of a mention.

These cord pin end terminals are worth a mention, brilliant on things like tow sockets where the screw will eat through the cable if you overtighten and any hairy bits you miss touch each other knocking fuses out.

Just bare back the cable, double it up, slide it to the end of the ferrule ,push it into the terminal block and screw it down, no special tools needed

Yep, I've used those a lot to terminate shite wiring in pump control panels, keep it to yourself, I'm not an electrician so shouldn't be working in panels.

Any chance you can show us what crimping tool you use? I have one that you can put different jaws in, but never seem to get it spot on!

I think Bob is saying to let the screw crimp it down, in my other job we put ferrules on all the cable ends on industrial control panels so use hundreds of these but would fail inspection if not properly crimped first.

Perfectly serviceable crimps from manual pliers about £25 eg https://uk.rs-online.com/mobile/p/crimp-tools/2601548/

Self adjusting ratchet crimps are what wiremen use but more like £150, if you are crimping all day then worth it to save your wrist, eg:

You can probably get them cheaper than RS by shopping around but I would get branded rather than cheap Chinese.

I use one of these, no need to change jaws, they are colour coded for each crimp, not the best picture but you should see what I mean. There is a right way and a wrong way to use them, rather than me explain have a quick look on Vesps favourite info source.
