Aldi and Lidl I reckon I have a 50-50 success rate good for the money / throw out tools (each tool are from a different Chineasium manufacturer dressed in Ferrex / Parkside colours)

Usually aldi have the same special buys on every 6 or 12 months, so I'm hoping the ferrex kit will come round again. Can never have too many batteries, and they're going for silly money on ebay. I'm annoyed that aldi have stopped offering delivery on special buys, I don't want to have to go to an aldi shop and hope I can find what I want...

My brothers got one.  Feels plasticy compared to my bosch one but is quite powerful and good value for the money

The difference in impact energy between SDS and SDS Max is considerable. So is the weight. Screwfix kit is hard to come a cropper with as their returns policy is normally excellent. A machine like this is a bridge between the standard drill ( which can be found wanting on heavier jobs ) and the three foot tall breakers. I couldn't manage without at least one of each.

well i bought it today, it does feel cheap, but i guess at 130 euro!!! thats fair enough.

i wont use it much, i just wanted to stop using my metabo sds too much in hammer mode.

Their M18 chainsaw is ok ish! Fine for chopping up the odd log on a Sunday, but the balance feels wrong and vibration is high compared to a pro petrol saw. It feels like a cheap b&q electric chainsaw imo

That then begs the question; what is an acceptable small battery saw that uses the same batteries as other portable tools? I discount Stihl as I have had a battery failure on the brushcutter the volunteers use and I want something common with power tools.
