Mrk 6 are plentiful and cheap so if you need an engine etc they are pennies watch for ones being rotten with the sills,steps and spring box hangers being prone to rot, mrk 7 are nicer to drive but engines are more expensive to source if they fail.

Personally id go for a solid low mile Mrk 6 and put a mrk 7 front on it as the 7 look nicer. :biggrin:

Mark 7 cab layout is much nicer, dash mounted gearstick and well thought out storage duckets.

6-speed box as well, my mk6 is only 5.

 

I doubt you'll find a mark 6 in good nick now, the backs tend to rot out even faster than the sills.

I need a new back pretty urgently.

 

Good trucks though, despite shocking legal load capacity.

 

I was on the bridge last week empty, 2 labs and tools in the cab 2820kg.
