All I can say before commuting is Hire one for a week or two first to see if you both really like the lifestyle you’ll be buying into. A neighbour spent nearly 50k on one, used it a couple of times then sold it at a great loss ☹️

Hello All, Farmi CH27 is a very good chipper, stress etc, but now getting slop on the lower intake roller. I shall take it apart sooner rather than later, and the plan would be to increase the key length/ add another key or go for taper lock bushes. It is a pretty severe duty, with the merciless drive and reverse shocks. Anyone else had any problems with this roller? Tks.

Timberwolf TW150 DHB anvil replacement
Mick Dempsey replied to Matthew McKee's topic in Maintenance help
Vertical anvil in its entirety went through my ForstST8, made a funny noise for a bit then clang! and out it came. I think there’s space under the rotor disc, between it and the chamber for it to pass underneath. I would replace both anvils, rotor bearings, and check rotor fans for damage. I think they replaced the old ally fans made of cheese for better ones at some point, may be worth checking with your dealer. - Yesterday

Had a brilliant boss at the changeover point who told all employed to say they'd 'mislaid' their old licences and reapply for new ones, which meant they were updated to new style but with old weight limits carried forward. Did us all a huge favour. Thank you.

Looks identical to the treehog, same sticker, spec and everything at half the price. Thanks for that, ordered a few. My oldest e2e prussik is starting to wear out and wont hold me without extra wrap, then the friction is a bit too much. Took Fedex quite a while but 5th free battery arrived.

Were you the same size?

Fence building near a tree in Conservation Area
daltontrees replied to Dendrophile's topic in Trees and the Law
You only need to notify things that otherwise would be an offence - topping, lopping, uprooting, wilful damage or wilful destruction. If you are satisfied that all these potential offences will be avoided, there's nothing to notify.- 1 reply

Brought a mate in with his Magni today for a job. Just an absolute pleasure when the right machines are on site.

Had to read the last line a couple of times, classic. Might go along with Donald Rumsfelds 'known unknowns' for linguistics

The other good technique is to contact local businesses using this approach. Note: if you are after wood ready to burn that is very different from green/wet wood that has just been cut and will not be dry nor cut/split for burning. Green wood is unlikely to be ready to burn until next year now (without a kiln)
