It does look like beech, but if you get a sharp really close image it will be easier to tell.

I think my stupidity may be contagious.

I was asked to chop up a lime stump, around 36" DBH. It fell in December. The roots were powder and significantly sized logs weighed nothing. The owners were unaware of its ill health until it fell in a storm. My opinion is to remove.

Well well SP, the usual reluctance to answer straight questions manifested itself again very quickly I see. Unfortunately mr eco BS merchant the polluting fossil fuel/coal you are burning is obviously imported from god know where, maybe even Russia or from the USA 😂😂 I’d say that’s your pseudo left wing bs green credentials well and truly shot to shit. That Scott rail train you use to commute 🤔diesel by any chance ??. You know SP you need to work on your skills, you have not yet mastered the art of the “Blag”.

Check Amazon. I recently picked up a triple pack of 14" Oregon 3/8p 1.3.guage 91vx I think l. For just 18 quid. So at £6 each I can't argue. Just come in a Oregon branded bag in a cardboard box of 3.

I’m a 21 tree surgeon based in north wales, and was doing perimeter clearance on a Scottish power substation in Kirby on the 29/5/25. My saw was stolen in the time of the team unloading kit and looking at the job no more than 70 meters away. The saw was purchased this January so looks fairy new and has the initial HGJ on both the handle and top casing. Just thought I would put it out on here if anyone comes across it. Cheers Harri Glyn

Withams will bleed you dry, they haven’t even paid the MOD yet for what ex mod stuff they’re selling and still want top $ or £ in this case.

Plus the further into the future they are thinking of having work done, in the meantime they then have plenty of time to call every tree firm in a 40 mile radius to offer a quote , regardless of whether they’ve given you the go ahead or not. And when you’re eventually down that neck of the woods the following year, you do a drive by and the whole property resembles the aftermath of Passchendaele .

What am I doing wrong with these young trees?
Stubby replied to Justin Peer's topic in Forestry and Woodland management
Staking too high does not allow the tree to move with the wind . Moving with the wind also promotes reaction wood making the trunk stronger I have been told . -
Sorry for digging this up again, about the main jet valve, is it possible to remove it without junking it? I want to inspect it for wear? It SEEMS like there is a leak somewhere in the carb as when bulb won't puel fuel, I can hear hissing from carb area. Holding intake fuel line has no effect on that.

As per the title, does anyone have a Jonsered 2095 scrap saw, rear handle and cylinder cover required.

I don't think that species can be overwatered as looking up info says they grow in water logged conditions naturally AI/google says River birch trees are particularly susceptible to developing iron chlorosis (yellowing of leaves) in alkaline soils. This is because the high pH of alkaline soil makes it difficult for the tree to absorb the essential nutrient iron. Some infos River birch might be a lost cause - West DIGITALEDITION.CHICAGOTRIBUNE.COM But apparently Wake county NC is mostly acidic.... Soil Survey of Wake County, North Carolina : United States. Just throwing this in there..... what are you carrying in the trailer? I often use hitchlock, cover and chain but the goods in the trailer are not secured, the trailer can be tipped and the load rolled out or just craned off!
