It's normally in the track motor, the feed only goes to half the pistons in high speed, so doubling the rpm and halving the torque. The trouble with increasing the pump capacity is that everything downstream has to be capable of taking the extra flow, pipes, spools and motors, else the oil gets too hot. and of course the motor and spools have to be rated for the increased flow. I had this problem to deal with on a machine my predecessor had had built and he had just added an oil cooler which didn't solve anything really. I found the spool valves for tracking the Forst too coarse and sudden compared with the Jensen and Greenmech tracked machines but we had the first two tr6s I think.

As Steve says above, I wouldnβt put my name to anything other than a full removal there Iβm afraid.

Help needed with an ash tree please.
Steve Bullman replied to Karen_1980's topic in Tree health care
Looks pretty goosed. Topping it might well make it safe enough to stand up for a couple more years, however youβll just be left with an ugly tree and 2 bills to pay. One for the pollard and a second one for its inevitable removal down the line . On the flip side if you fell it now, those couple more years you might have been able to enjoy it for can be used to establish a replacement for you to enjoy for many years to come. Fell it now while the firewood is still half decent -

I moved in a month ago and was suspicious of the tree health of my ash I've had someone to look at it and it appears the tree base is rotten I can put my arm up inside the trunk. I am devastated at the thought of having to cut it down. One person said they could pollard the top to take the stress out of the trunk and it might give me a couple if years. The other guy said she to the fact he can get his arm up the centre and it's all soft and rotten it is best to fell it. I am devastated. Note I didn't add the hoop or the electrics around the base.

Morning all. Delayed start this morning, bleary eyed after a late finish on emergency stuff. Nothing exciting came in unfortunately. Don't imagine there'll be much more to come, the forecast is for gusting mid 40's today. Less rain expected thankfully. Have a good one folks.

Any one think that the taking the worst bits of a jenson and combining it with their worst bits and making a Forst had anything to do with the decline ?

Nowt to say. I left for other reasons but was happy enough with the majority of the folk i worked with, was previously an owner of two of the brand and wish the staff at Greenfab well. It is hard not to get bitter and twisted after all that happened (or didn't) during my 27 years there and I'll always look over that fence too. But, my time there is done. Jensen (the factory) have always been awkward to deal with. This current patch of difficulties is not helpful for those who want to buy them or are already an owner or dealer. Every brand has its idiosyncrasies, as does every dealer/supplier. Hint....if you buy a machine and have issues, call the sales bloke. He had your commission and wants your next order, if he is any good, he will move heaven and hell to sort your issues. If he has any spine, he will 'sell' his own product/organisation without slagging off his opponents or their wares..... I think the lecture ends here.
