No mate, its not that big, must be the aspect of the photo! You can easily stand and split from the ground. Guy that built it for us made sure it was sub 750 kg for the road.

Pyracantha has got to be the ultimate in intruder repellant hedging. It's significantly more hostile than Hawthorn even. Probably grows more quickly as well.
-
You say that, but ......
-
Agreed, I doubt anyone can argue against that ......
-
But can you transplant it one Saturday and lay it the next?

There should be an enquiry into MP's of all parties and their collusion with Russia.

After encountering a series of nocturnal 'unwanted yard visitors' we layed our 5yr old Hawthorn hedge that we had planted, along the vulnerable gateway entrance. It was 25mm dia x 1.8m high big transplants, less than 20m length. Anticipating future incursions, we then added two strands of razor wire fencing, at 50cm and 100cm high. Worked a treat! No further problems (at that point, anyway!) 15 yrs since. 👍 We've also layed big overgrown gappy Hawthorn hedges (with saw and excavator) , in a something like a Midlands style, to successfully provide instant impenetrable boundaries, for LA's and FC. Again, worked brilliantly.

If moral amongst the soldiers is at rock bottom as dave said its only a matter of time before they give up. Everyone has a breaking point and the people of ukraine are getting hammered night and day. Putin has no value on human life and will continue no mater how many people die.
-
Sorry, but I disagree. Trump has shown only " appeasement ". I hope and believe that Europe will do what Trump is seemingly afraid to do.
-
Sadly probably true Les Trump and the others who promised Ukraine safety for giving up its nuclear weapons and the west in general have failed failed them miserably.
-
I think personally that trump one way or the other will bring this war to an end. Putin is not going to back down and ukraine cannot continue to keep fighting without the yanks backing.

Yeah I use radmoors a fair bit. But still too far to drive. Always happy with the service provided and would recommend. Latest battery husky hedge trimmer was delivered next day from them. Honey ordered Friday arrived the following Friday with delivery charged at £9.99. Is what it is I suppose, nobody died I got my goods but I do feel like the delivery charge is a bit steep for the timescale.

The last decent sized job I planted was about 30,000 mixed hardwood, 14,000 of them an experimental Sessile Oak block, with a mix of UK and German provenance, FC site over at Abbots Wood near Polegate, East Sussex. All trees had to be staked and tubed at the end of every day due to excessive browsing by the exploding deer population., then had to replant and re stake hundreds of them every Monday due to the weekend vandalism. I had planted a similar amount every Winter for the best part of 25 years, but this was the end of the line for me, stood there at 5am digging in the dark with a head torch on to get the numbers in and make it pay, only to have the whole lot ravaged within 5 years by grey squirrels, no thanks.

Trump's behaviour in this matter has been appalling. Seemingly, his " Peace Plan " is heavily loaded in favour of Russia. It's basically going to bar Ukraine from defending itself in the future. Heaven knows, I'm not a seasoned political analyst, but how hard can it be to see that Russia ( under Putin ) is intent on grabbing land. I'm hoping that European leaders are beginning to realise that the way forward is to marginalise Trump, and support Zelensky. Bringing Russia to its knees would end the war.
