I've tried most jackets and haven't found one that keeps me dry all day in really bad weather.. I've settled with 2-3 midrange coats and spare tshirts and swap through out the day. I think if you spend £200-£300 on an expensive mountaineering jacket it will keep you dry all day but id probably but a hole in it pretty quick

Thanks Guys, the only saving grace is I have an old unit that the bearings in the head have gone.. should be able to just swap the heads over if drying out doesn't work

As title suggests, i got very wet very quickly last week! my old jacket is now leaking like siv... (arbortec smock) what's everyone using in 2025? want something actually waterproof, not soft shell that is resistant for 10 minutes. if I'm climbing ill take the thing off regardless, so its more for ground work/ being out in the woods finding trees in a downpour! hope he has valid insurance. Even here in Romania a law has been passed to oblige all electric scooter, bicycles, etc to have a valid insurance... It's like a nuthouse anyway here... You could be on your merry way on a one way street and still encounter some electric "thing" on 2 or 3 wheels going 50km/h... On your way, as if you SHOULD expect some lunatic going the wrong way... And not one has a driver license, nothing regarding traffic rules... It's disgusting allready... Even in parcs or sidewalk is like that...
