  23. If you have to keep adjusting the carb, like Stubby said suspect air leak elsewhere.
  24. Bit of a long story... A local arb was on holidays and got me a solo job tidying up a woodland, with a big poplar for us to do when he got back. It went badly, he wouldnt climb higher, he just wanted to smash big peices from low down. He tried negative rigging when it could easily have been positive and controlled, wouldnt listen to me. Tennis court fence got smashed, also his ladder smashed, he ran away. I stayed, wasted an extra day fixing the fence. Fixed, not perfect but customer is happy. Anyway after the repair, I got paid for the days I was owed (not for the fence). Customer had some trust in me, so I recommended somone else who I know is excellent. He has no fear of climbing higher and he is much quicker than the other guy. Small peices and controlled. That brings us to today, not quite finished, the stem left to peice down and just me today. Not very high, I thought ladder would be a pain so left it at home, used spikes instead. I prefer spikes to ladders! Stem was about 32", perhaps 40" at the top. 28" bar on the g372. Thankfully the quote was to leave the logs as I cant shift all of that by myself! I did say I'd cut them smaller and tidy it up a bit.
  25. Read thread again, Dan. Addressed.
  26. The view of most people I would imagine, what is more concerning is the fact the current PM whom is a highly educated individual saw fit to appoint him ( despite advice to the contrary) to one of the top posts the UK has to offer. A dire judgement call to say the least.
  27. I could never understand how or why he was put on a pedestal- he was and always will be a self serving sort, the same goes for a lot of them. The current lot included! The times politicians have treated the voting public with such disregard beggars belief, whether it be expenses fraud or any such law breaking!
  28. I'm thinking the ideal negative rig drops the piece straight down below climbers feet, and then gradually slows down as it descends. Someone good on the ropes from below can do that, I couldn't do it myself from a portawrap up the pole having just pushed the piece. You still need the guy on the ground to undo the rope anyway.
