  2. Nah, not having that either, ALL, my puckered wrinkly sphincter. I was fishing from my local pier yesterday afternoon and perhaps 8-10 Muslim women (modestly dressed, head to foot but open faces, no niqab/burka just a headscarf) came past and were asking, in pretty good English, if we had caught anything and as I had they asked what kind, what size, did I keep it, are they good to eat etc. Later as I was packing up they were coming back down the pier and we continued chatting, they were from Bradford, with their husbands who were just walking along a few metres ahead and unconcerned that their wives were talking to little old white me! Did any British ask me about the fishing, or about life in general? Apart from little kids or other anglers asking if we had caught, not one and that's the norm. Another norm is Muslim men who fish the pier, the majority are respectful and engaging and seem to know a lot of the local anglers. Now this doesn't mean that every Muslim person will be like that, same as not every white british person will be aloof and not engaging with people who they pass, just the same as not all those newcomers wanted there little Pakistan or Honduras or India……
  3. or a hedge cutter and polesaw chainsaw with the same batteries? You can swipe polesaws around in the same way as a hedge cutter and they will tackle the larger branches with less stress. Its great for cutting off lower growth off lime trees for example.

Its interesting how people's opinions vary. What's your 'go to' saw now and why?
  5. East Europeans are not emigrants, it is best what happen to GB , you will remember that in 50 years while your daughter will wear a full face cover and your son praying Allah🫣And every second call will be Indian scammers🤣, also your hospitals will become a tip site with homeless Indian and useless Pakistani and Nigerian doctors it’s happening right now and I’m afraid you can’t do anything about this!! Ya I forgot that your granddaughter will not be capable of to left a house without bunch of Ukrainian veteran bodyguards ! Yes I can say all this as I’m immigrant myself, the problem with immigration is simple it is MENTALITY….. you move to GB you must become an English , but all those newcomers wanted there little Pakistan or Honduras or India…… Trust me every Polish who come in England wanted to become Englishman, plus 1 Lithuanian worker equivalent of 10 Pakistani plus 5 Nigerians, and one kristian Philippine nurse worth 10 untidy Indians . I think I have 10 years jail now from GB HALF INDIAN government isn’t????

  7. Never been keen fan of them, I'm greatful my 241cm got stolen..although a pro saw was very heavy for a 40cc saw and the 260/261cm wasn't much better
  8. Now we're getting to the crux of the matter. "So if we have 50000 small boats migrants a year and say 30000 of those remain, we now need extra housing for 30000 more people than the year before - plus extra housing for net increase due to legal migrants granted work and study visas." 30000 << legal migrants granted work and study visas. But still, immigration has very little to do with the overinflated housing market in the UK.
  9. No, benefits and job prospects are. So as these are lower in e.g Bulgaria, legal and illegal migration to that country are lower than to England. So with less migrants to find accomodation for there is lower demand for houses in Bulgaria. So if we have 50000 small boats migrants a year and say 30000 of those remain, we now need extra housing for 30000 more people than the year before - plus extra housing for net increase due to legal migrants granted work and study visas. Migrants are the sole reason for UK population growth. The UK birth rate has been below 2 for many years.
  10. Good start today could only be one word Wordle 1,530 2/6* 🟨⬜🟨🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I changed settings to hard mode ages ago and it actually helps you to not make mistakes.
  11. Thanks. I really liked how nimble and light was my old hedge trimmer. Even though it lacked in capacity to cut thicker branches. Than i would have plenty of work where stihl 140 r would be useful. I wonder if makita uh006 is on par with srihl 140r. If hedge trimmers were not so bulky it would almost be a case to buy two. One small and one large. Plenty of models available on the market.
  12. Yeah, housing costs, front and centre of every migrants thoughts 🙄

  14. No, not having that! I pushed them up somehow in the 80's. We had a new build (social housing) 2 bed end terrace of 3 houses in 85/6, £18 900, we sold it two years later for £38 000, the house building trade took off for 5 years until supply outstripped demand and building almost stopped but prices didn't.
  15. Good morning Arbtalkers 😊 A lot cooler here today 😎

Love my 261C -2015- Mine has a 16" bar and I've never felt the need for more. Heavy on fuel? I wouldn't say so. 2 tanks to every one of oil. Certainly not as juicy as the 881 on a mill. Drinks like Olly Reed P.s. mines ported (2021) and that has made no real change to thee fuel or bar choice.

  25. This side of the island has it for us. Especially the stretch from Chora to Plakias. I know that is lazy tourism but a holiday is a choice thing and we come mainly to do not a lot! Awake far too early again. Will go back to sleep again in a mo, kip on the beach too no doubt! Melon, Collie.
