  2. If they are going to be loading trucks with it regularly, then they need something on the larger end of the scale. In my experiance diggers are a bit like chippers in that when you double the size, you trebble the efficiency. I wouldnt be too concerned about resale value in the fact that any money lost off sets the cost of hire or hiring in. Personally I would look at a 8 to 14 tonner. The haulage costs will be the same and the "hour toll" will be lower on the bigger machine.

  4. Morning all, An interesting night. Neighbour rang me to say there were cattle, including a bull, on the lane outside his house. They had broken out from a field down the lane belonging to someone else. Yes, his phone was turned off at 4am. We managed to herd them into neighbour’s field then through into mine, where they still are. Yes there is a public footpath through my field where the bull is currently. Owner now aware of situation. Breakfast and crossword now.
  5. I agree, vinyl is undoubtedly cooler. I was just a little too late though. The tangible interaction thing is very true also. Like packet cigarettes vs. rollies. Back in the day I'd far rather have a rollie, the act of making it was half the pleasure..
  6. Good Morning All clear. Nothing to see here! Have fun
  7. If you’re using quality timber why risk using anything form temu with it?
  8. Today
  9. It’s possible the one on the left is aesculus carnea, that has red flowers, leaves seem darker etc. Interesting it seems to have suffered less from the leaf miner.
  10. As said above, horse chestnut leaf miner, usually non fatal for trees but doesn't look great. Clearing away this years leaves when they drop can help to suppress it happening next year. The leaf miner "over-winters" in leaf litter. Also, as Matt pointed out, your ash tree is on its way out.

  21. Morning all . After some overnight rain its gone clear again . happy Sunday .
  22. Up late and now up early too! Maybe a nap on the beach later. Enjoy your Sunday! Ham, May, Sing, Graze.
  23. I find Chestnuts to start early and finish early. Round by us, they are already covered in brown leaves and finished now!
  24. Strange how the hand wringers came out about “ assault rifles” when a persons who’s mental illness and delusional behaviour was actively encouraged committed violent acts but were virtually cheering when the target was the current president of the USA
  25. Yesterday
  26. I had a similar case with an old apple tree that looked half-gone after a bad winter. Pruning back the dead wood and giving it a season with mulch, compost tea, and slow-release organic feed really helped bring it back. Also worth checking for root rot or girdling roots. These trees are tougher than they look once stress is managed right.
