You'll have to wait til they've written into the Guardian and asked how they should respond to such a question. Check back in a week or two to see what witless retort they're instructed to go with.

I've already put up ' The bluest blues ' on here at least twice, so maybe I shouldn't post it again. ππ

To quote another member β Obfuscation β alert βΌοΈ Care to explain how you see this actually working. Iβll try again eh seeing as you are struggling. So you are now saying itβs actually to stop them working once here and not actually deter illegal cross border immigration π€·ββοΈ Are you that naive to believe that those hiring or working illegally wonβt continue to do so.

Wanting (desperately needing) a new harness. Been down the honey bros in Guildford few weeks ago but didnβt have any Tree Austriaβs ready for me to try. Just come back from the new forest on a road trip family holiday and dropped in to their store and again didnβt have any. Tried the notch catalyst which was comfy, then a DMM which was uncomfortable and 500 quid. Climbed off a treehog harness for a couple years then my current Skylotec which is nice but old as hell. Anyone have experience with the TreeAustria? Cheers

at first glance i thought someone had been doing a spot of chainsaw carving

it won't take long for them to make forgeries for the rubber boat people

That's the problem, a couple of days back, seems like a lifetime, you got totally lost when I quoted you and got all het up thinking I said it when it was your words. Just a bit of preamble to set the scene. Right, ID cards and why the government are introducing them. Here's a screenshot of the reason, as you seem to like a screenshot... the important part is "to work in the UK " not as you said (this is your quote)... "So all of us who live here legally already with NI numbers and multiple forms of Verifiable ID being mandated to carry digital identification will stop those crossing the channel βillegallyβ " Can you see the difference?

Valdotain. Few quid for hitch cord, 2 karabiners and a hitch climber, can be had for under Β£100

Genuine question . All those that are worried about Trump and take every opportunity to moan and bash the tango man⦠What actually has he done that has affected you personally and your day to day lives?

Hi all, I'm a complete beginner trying to get into arborism and have recently done the climbing and aerial rescue course, for which I used borrowed climbing kit. I'm now in the process of buying my own climbing kit so that I can get as much practice in as possible before doing the aerial chainsaw course. With the borrowed kit, in terms of friction devices I had a Zigzag Plus on one system and just a prusik knot on the other. I really liked the Zigzag and ideally would buy two so I could have one on each rope, but I can't afford that at the mo so I'm wondering what I could use on my 2nd rope as an alternative to that or just a prusik. I actually got on ok with the prusik but is there anything else I could use instead that's relatively inexpensive (i.e. Β£100 or less) but would be nicer to climb on/save energy etc?

I didnt do the track and trace stuff. Is it still here? I remember all the conspiracy theories back then, this is how we are going to live, you wont be able to do this that or the other without a jab. We will be in and out of lockdown forever. That didnt age well now did it.

It is inevitable, if every prick roles over and accepts it like they did with Covid.

Trump?! You must be on the windup.

True but that looked like jobs for the boys, was it Β£35 billion ish spunked on a useless private company when the nhs could have provided a better service for less money. They already had a track and trace system in place. I appreciate the info from all of the above on the id card stuff. It looks like its inevitable which lets be honest, its going to happen globally at some point. I dont understand the argument that it will cut down on illegal immigration, how will it? And people who use cash in hand employees will continue to do so ID card or not.
