  1. Past hour
  2. you watched it as well
  3. If I had the answers I'd write a book, instead of just posting on a forum.
  4. What of it?
  5. So what do you suggest or what are the options for the lowly working man ??
  6. Nothing weird about it you retard, it’s how a ltd company works. Every year billions are lost due to the same actions. If you want to try and change the whole business/company system then crack on. Your post is your normal obsessed jumble of lies and assumptions SP/TA the anonymous member.
  7. Today
  8. I'm in the same situation, aged 66. I can still get up there, no problem, making a strategic cut with/without lowering gear for a big section. Not so good at going out to the periphery, or perhaps I should say useless. I have a 25 year old subbie who mentally is more like 35 -40 thank goodness, who I use for the tiring climbing work. I am now focusing on using machinery as much as possible. Currently using a very good tracked MEWP, mindigger with grab, power barrow, compact tractor with loader and 3 point winch etc. I use these to make my jobs easier, but also hire myself out with kit/experience to help a couple of local similar small firms whi have less kit.
  9. You hold the post and say "When I nod my head, hit it!"
  10. I purchased a new Hilux in Jan 2024 and the first thing I did was take it to a specialist for full waxoyl injection. And then treated any areas myself that I felt were missed. When I had the letter from Toyota about recalls I contacted my local dealer. They said they would only be inspecting it and if anything just waxing the chassis, so we agreed no point in them even looking at it. They said warranty would still be valid regardless.
  11. £40 that's a good price. Make sure you have the right gasket sealant and its worth getting new seals they are about £6 each. You cant get the main bearings from Stihl as they only come with the crank from what I can see. If the crank you are buying doesn't have the bearings fitted then take your time removing the old bearings, you could try putting the crank in the freezer for a good few hours then try to quickly heat up the inner race of the bearing to get it off. Spud might have a few tips on this. You can get a set of gaskets and the seals for about £20, part number 4282 007 1600. The sealant is a bit pricy from stihl but they recommend dirko HT red which you can get from a lot of places.
  12. Useful to know, thank you!
  13. In France, no qualifications are required to become a tree climber. Insurance companies don't ask for anything other than your business registration certificate and even then, they are pretty lax about who can obtain insurance. The authorities are only now beginning to more strictly regulate the industry. Regardless of that, France doesn't recognise UK NPTC certificates.
  14. Weird isn't it, for one who is so keen to cut all government spending, starting with any spending on humanity, JonsonDs response to this story is "move on, don't talk about it, lets talk about something else" where in reality we should be saying that everyone who took money fraudulently needs to pay is back and with interest added on top. But not old double standards JonsonD, they made bucket loads, better not talk about it, jog on to the next story please.
  15. Barrowman didn't provide many a tasty eyeful though - so without that redeeming factor he's just another conman who's gotten away with fleecing the taxpayer. Of course you can point to other waste of public funds, but that was just 2 individuals who knew exactly what they were doing. In fact the whole VIP fast lane set up was a view into Conservative corruption. I would like to see the whole NHS supply chain nationalised. A nationalised gown procurement operation wouldn't have to be as efficient as private, as no dividends to pay. Same for water, trains, everything. I really don't like a lot about the private sector - vampire squid on steroids. Why do you think Norway still has a majority holding in Equinor? Coz they are not fecked in the body, mind and soul. France has bought back EDF off the market. No more pigs siphoning off the cash.
  16. Here's some more - not sure that they are all even fungi !!!

  19. Thanks for replies Will check out the shop one mean time I’ve made a rough one with plywood 1/2 inch and a bit of rail it might suffice for now
  20. I've absolutely nothing useful to add to this really, but I'm intrigued- did you transfer UK qualifications to France, or train up over there?
  21. We've made a couple up over the years- one for square posts is particularly useful to stop them twisting
