  1. Past hour
  2. Some of the Greenheart I’ve been milling over the last few months. Been taking them down to 200x200 mm. Not the easiest to mill for sure. Anyone selling a Lucas mill?
  3. I looked at one of these online, they have a video of it running. It looks painstakingly slow. My CS100 is significantly quicker, but lacks the feed roller and anti stress. I did request a demo, living near Carlisle, nothing came of it though and ai didn't follow up. The GL&D looks a a far better small chipper, also double the price...
  4. Nice. Our tree is laden now, first decent crop on it for years. I was thinking to start picking this weekend.
  5. Ali claims to be selling mini skids, mini diggers, mini loaders and mini telehandlers for under a grand, free delivery. This can't be real, right?
  6. They are. They're at the yard but I'll get back to you on Monday about that.
  7. All foresters i know are very bad at maintenance of machines !
  8. Today
  9. They alloy bashlins? If so please can you let me know...... from the very bottom of the bit you put your foot in, what is the distance up to the tip of the spike? I take it on short gaffs? Want to see how far up the spike is. I tried ally gecko years ago and didn't like for that reason. My steel bashlins the spike is very close to the level of the bottom of your foot on short gaffs. Love them
  10. Missed a few days, been in a field in Heacham. This is my 1000th wordle. Wordle 1,519 4/6* 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  11. I have Dewalt , it was bought for fun , if you planing to work with one hand don’t buy it , balance is very bad, plus it’s designed only for right hand,Milwaukee have similar issues, except right hand problem !
  12. morning chaps, I've been flat out for 2 weeks since the storm, had to go south and collect machines on Monday and get them to Inverness. Today is a definite rest day, just a couple of tip runs for the good lady and mostly eating I think.
  13. Yes, the carburettor is a cheap copy. But surely the cheap copy shouldn't be leaking fuel aswell?

    Oh sod off

Just read it. It’s exactly what the headline suggests: Here’s something in the public eye. Now here’s a barely related drum we want to bang.

  22. Morning all. Good fettle this morning. Decent sleep makes a difference, and another long awaited delivery arrived yesterday which pleased me greatly! Been using Tom's spikes since our kit was stolen but my replacement ones have arrived, my dream spikes. Horribly expensive but started a dismantle with them straight out the box and already they feel like 'mine'. Think Mick will approve. In other news, I'm close to bringing our new product to the arb market. It'll increase safety and productivity, as well as being available at a competitive price. You just attach it to the rear of harness and if the worst happens you've a soft landing and are instantly returned to your work position. With great pride I bring to you, the Arbouncer. Have a good one folks.
  23. I’d be interested if full time foresters/fallers grease their nose sprockets. Never greased a clutch bearing in my life either
  24. Good Morning.
  25. Thanks to everyone for all your input- very much appreciated, and thank you to those that messaged privately, either to offer leads or contacts. Cheers!
  26. Good morning Stubby and all and happy Saturday 😊
