  1. Yesterday
  2. Evening gents. I have the chance of a relatively low mileage Hilux double cab. It currently has a tray tub fitted as the original was rotten. I’m looking to fit a tipper body but a struggling to find sensible insurance. Standard Hilux £350 direct line. Direct line won’t look at a tipper as modified. Tipper Hilux with b Adrian flux £1200.' Second vehicle 5000 miles but no transferable no claims. Cant be that expensive as lots of lads use modified pickups.
  3. I'll assume that your daughters will be learning a trade then and not taking any further education past their Highers considering your condescension to 'university education', or will they not be making their daddy proud and they will go on to learn stuff and better themselves through education?
  4. As above, use dry wood if you can. Most of the tent stoves I see are weekend warriors - 2 night and packed away again - which is handy to also knock the soot of the flue - a weeks use in the middle of winter could be a bit too much for the design. A real good hot fire should keep it clearer - though be aware of chimney fires - but the hotter the fire the cleaner the chimney will be. Do you let the fire smoulder overnight or during the day while you are out and about? Might be an overnight fire is the problem, could try charcoal instead if you need something overnight.
  5. Would anyone like a nice cup of tea ..?

    UPS Scam?

There should be a reference number on the card - go through your web browser (never a QR code) - to UPS and put the number in there - should be a billing section - will tell you what is due. There should also be a parcel tracking - if I was suspicious I would track it first, find out where it is (should be collected and something like "In UK Customs" or "waiting for delivery" I reckon) Might be that the part is to be delivered to Texas but somehow your address is the billing address? Last thing, has he any tracking numbers for the ECU - could they be the same as what's on your card?
  7. Nice one! Are you on the ground? Dragging, cutting, rigging? Any climbing? Done anything big/novel?
  8. So far so good thanks- full time contract with a good local company, who were happy to take me as is, then train me up. Very pleased!

    UPS Scam?

Ignore it then. Fraudulent Text Messages, Phone Calls and Other Communications In addition to fraudulent websites and emails, fraudsters also may use the telephone, text messages, a fax machine, letters, or other communication methods in an attempt to gather your personal information. These fraudulent communications are the unauthorised actions of third parties not associated with UPS. Fraudulent communications claiming to be from UPS may claim to indicate a parcel is waiting to be delivered. These communications will generally ask you for personal information and/or a payment in advance of receiving a parcel, or may indicate a need to update your account by obtaining personal information or a copy of your UPS invoice. The links in the text messages may contain malware or direct to a fraudulent website. If UPS contacts you regarding a parcel, the UPS representative will always be able to provide a tracking number, which you can verify on our website. You also should know that UPS may contact you from time to time regarding service offerings or for marketing purposes, but you may always verify our phone number and call back before proceeding. If you are ever unsure of the validity of a communication, ask for the caller's first and last name and a call-back telephone number. If you are unsure of the validity of a text, do not click or select any links or open any attachments as they may contain a virus.
  14. I'd suggest some flavour in your food but otherwise you look to be having a belting good time.
  15. You might be waiting a while. Old thread and a less frequently visiting member these days (but he does visit). How are you getting on with your arb journey?
  16. Hi there

I saw a previous post mentioning you do reconditioned stress control units. I have a jensen a530t which has a stress control issue. Its old school so is a fault in the motherboard rather than a separate control unit. Think over time, condensation has damaged it.

Wondered if you guys work on motherboards?

Any info would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tom

  17. Good. A couple of things: Burn the wood hot and fast so that there is always a flame. If the stove is unlined, i.e the fire directly contacts the metal of the outside of the stove, consider lining the inside and baffle with vermiculite boards to keep combustion temperature up.
  18. @Old Mill Tree Caredid you find any?
  19. Would be much appreciated thanks

  21. Over the years I used to meet a chap from a nearby road with elderly german shepherd dogs, two sets of sisters. As two of them became less able to walk he would sit in a clearing and throw sticks for the active two. He died very suddenly while working, in March, of a heart failure. My wife took to meeting up with his widow and and soon after one of the white sisters became totally immobile and was put down. I think all but one have a congenital spine problem. One of the black pair succumbed and was losing the ability to stand or walk Last week I was presented with a wheeled frame for her and at the weekend, after a bit of head scratching, we fitted her up, this clip is her on her second day. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12LQeNqevUC1a87Q37lsdxBRW42Oe6Ck-/view?usp=drive_link I'll leave it up for a week or so The wheels are loaned from a charity called WWW.WINSTONSWHEELS.ORG.UK

  24. #thinblueline #lawenforcement | Kyle Reyes | 146 comments WWW.LINKEDIN.COM We have passed the tipping point. If we don't start arresting these far-left judges and charging them with... Yep that will be armed agents on the street dealing with scum that the libtards let walk free. Now where else do we see that 🤔
  25. I must have mixed some of the more recently cut logs with the older ones, I've been doing a bit of a restoration job on a few acres of sitka spruce plantation and have got logs piled up all about the place
  26. Starmer’s grooming gang inquiry left in turmoil after two survivors quit panel APPLE.NEWS Fiona Goddard and Ellie-Ann Reynolds criticise handling of national inquiry, which is yet to... Two now, it would seem condescending behaviour doesn’t go down too well with those that have actually suffered at the hands of these gangs. Good enough for the Guardian it’s good enough for you. Facts lad.
