  2. more to come too, new album in new year. The Damned official page, · The Damned would proudly like to announce the release of a new studio album titled “Not Like Everybody Else”. The LP is a tribute to the late Brian James and each tune has been chosen because they were by artists that had an impact on Brians guitar playing and in turn his songwriting and in turn the Damned as a band. The album is made up of 10 tracks which we recorded in just 5 days at the end of a hectic US tour, which made the timing perfect - we were in exactly the right frame of mind to give it our all. Dave Vanian, Paul Gray and Captain Sensible were joined in the studio by Rat Scabies, who hadn’t sat on the Damned drum throne for 30 years and what a difference he makes. “Not Like Everybody Else” also has an irony not to be missed as track 10 is the encore that we recorded at Hammersmith Apollo on 29 October 2022 and is a live version of “This Could Be The Last Time” which sadly it was, as it was the very last time Brian played on stage with the Damned. Pre-save now: https://damned.lnk.to/NotLikeEverybodyElsePR The first single to be released on 30th October is R Dean Taylor’s classic “There’s A Ghost In My House” delivered with the unmistakable energy and dark charm that the Damned do so well.
  3. I have just read about Elizabeth Kinney and how she was arrested in the bath by 11 police officers for what she said in a private text message. I genuinely would like to know if there is another side to this story as it seems too preposterous to be real. Here is the link. Not sure it is going to work but you can google her name. Access Restricted WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK I am always suspicious of someone who looks like that as clearly she places a vast importance on how she looks and enjoys sharing how she looks (or how AI makes her look). But in a nutshell this is the story: An acquaintance and her fell out and she ended up in hospital when he assaulted her. She then ranted by text message and amongst other things called him a faggot. 11 police officers came into her house without warning (all but one male) and arrested her whilst she was having a bath. They told her she could get 5 to 10 years in jail for a hate crime. In sentencing the magistrates handed out an uplifted sentence due to the 'homophobic' content. None of the messages were even read out in court. Surely the police don't send 11 police officers to arrerst someone for hurty words said in private when they usually don't bother to attend actual burglary or shoplifting.....?????
  4. Primary school looking for donations of woodchip and logs for our play areas to enhance our children's playtimes. Please ring or email before arrival.
  5. Brilliant, that's going on my/my son's Christmas list. Thanks. We made lots of things like that as children, but I don't remember ever seeing a book of ideas.
  6. Or just build a boiler room for a eco Angus 18/25kw and relax with 90% efficiency instead of it mostly being wasted.
  7. I like your thinking here. So the new plan is: we all, alongsides our friends the fungi, set about devouring as much plastic as we can, before Alzheimer's sets in. We then take it six feet down with us when to depart, to leave a clean world for our children. Worth a shot I suppose. My brother once suggested that we could bury all the plastics deep underground, to one day revert back to something akin to crude oil and coal. That still seems like a sensible idea to me. It's got more legs than trying to pretend that we're recycling it, which is in reality just a mugs game.
  8. I don’t know but nor do I need to know. It’s not for one man to visualise the future or for one central power to try to dictate it. I am appalled at the authoritarian mess that is the present. I’d take my chances with a defunded state and a future that therefore evolves more naturally.
  9. Christ SP hardly through the bloody door at what’s supposedly your “ work” and your online. Are you not capable of doing a full days uninterrupted graft lad. You are taking a wage off the taxpayers at least make half an effort to earn it.
  10. With the contributions you’ve made you’d have been better off not bothering coming in. Your incontinence pants leak during the night or did you just wake up in a bad fettle.

  12. Yep. Think it was in Berry's Book of Cunning Contraptions along with Go karts and candle powered boats.
  13. I also think its a shame that regulations have gone against back boilers. Ive always dreamt of having a massive 20kw stove that would heat hot water, radiators, towel rails. Maybe I should learn to braze copper.
  14. Yes he provides gun and ammo, no centralised funds to pay for them.

  16. And how is it policed? Does he provide his own gun and ammo. A good leg pull but I'm out.
  17. Thats a great version of the old R Dean Taylor soul classic from the ghoulish ones - top tune!!!
  18. 😆 You really should try and think about what you write before posting the reply.
  19. And what do you think happens to all this treated timber once the skip is collected?. As usual it's how it's burnt, providing you've a modern stove and not some coal burner from the 40s.
  20. I think that's just BS; the sold to Chinese Co bit.
  21. #trump | Martin Cordello, M.A.T.D, SHRM-SCP WWW.LINKEDIN.COM God bless our President. #Trump Larry Gallegos Trump accounts 👍👍 Credit to the Dell family, far better use of hard earned personal wealth than some billionaires out there.

  23. A trailer with an IBC with water will be your friend. Its been nearly 20 years since i last sprayed around trees, but i think i used to do at least 2000 a day.
  24. Fantastic news! Put the thick quilt on the bed and too hot so had a rough night. Thin quilt going back on tonight! Balmy day here. Lair, Monk, Herd.

  26. It got me in the end, drive home on Monday was a struggle, streaming eyes, heater on flat out but still cold. Home and straight to bed. In bed till lunch yesterday.. Then had a bluey marathon with my two year old while mum was off doing farm work. Improved today, should be able to get some work done. Well done Steve, it's hard work for the dad as well. I remember I made a sandwich when the first one was being born and I didn't get a chance to eat it as I was having my hands crushed. By time it was all over the sandwich was stale and went to the dogs!
  27. And the poor people or people who think they're clever going through skips , burning things like creosoted /tanalised/painted stuff because they are too tight to pay for wood. That happens alot near me and the chimneybsweep now asks what your burning before sweeping the chimney , as he will walk away if its anything bar clean wood burned !
