  1. Past hour
  2. That’s the best compliment I’ve ever had! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž
  3. Today
  4. You sound like you are ex SAS steve Not quite sure if the spacial forces did tree work but i am sure you fit the bill 😁
  5. Five is the new three. Wordle 1,623 5/6* ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟩⬜ 🟨🟩⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  6. No no, you knot block the cambium saver when you set your tie in point. Work the tree and just come down a you like, then retrieve.
  7. I had a Greenmech wee chipper, I loved it. If I had the Jo beau I’d of loved that too. If 2 camps argue and defend their favoured brand as much as we all do then they are both good machines. I’ve never heard a bad word about them tbh. A great investment if you do domestic tree work.

  9. Happy late birthday Maybe! 66 in tree work is surely about 109 in office job years. Well done! A wild night here, still blowing hard. The rain has stopped thankfully. A day of pottering again for me, got loads of chores and maintenance done yesterday. I’m always nervy when it’s windy, you lot must be the same, my nervous system is trained to be ready for action πŸ˜‚
  10. He has to climb back up to set the knot block though. Then he descends and retrieves it from the ground. He’s very special.
  11. Sounds interesting
  12. Wordle 1,623 3/6 ⬜🟩🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  13. I'll try and grab a photo. I use it "back to front" from the conventional MRS setup. Knot block the small ring with a retrieval tail. Then put the retrieval ball on the working end on the ground to retrieve from the ground. The key benefit is that i can drop through as many natural redirects as I want and still retrieve it easily, which you can't get away with using a quickie or similar.
  14. No offence sir just testing the new Emoji pete mentioned 🀣
  15. Morning all, Day of rest here, other than maybe a bit of tinkering in workshop. Rain due in a bit.

  18. Rich Rule

    New Hilux.

I’ve not heard of that one. They had the 2.8 out over here and it was a great motor but then I heard they had changed to some sort of hybrid type. I was looking to upgrade mine and went in for the 2.8 but they said they we no longer available.
  19. I'm on my second M300; bought the first one from Vermeer in 2012, this one from Global. I've never had a significant issue with dealers or machines but I don't rag the machine day after day. Current machine was new 2017 and is still spot on. There will always be the mini chipper moaners but they suit some better than others. Those in the industry I've spoken to about Jo Beau all have a high regard for them.

  21. Just to tie this off, the spigot for the drop link was in the old wishbone but sheared off when trying to remove it. That and a drop link was Β£120 from Land-rover so, I drilled and tapped the spigot to M5, cut the head off a bolt and screwed that in lovely! The drop link was slotted back together and had a tie wrap secure the two halves! Decentish bodge job but it works!
  22. Good Morning End of the week finally, not the end of my work. Dag-nabbit. Have a great start to the weekend. Cheers @Steve Bullman I see an Angry Emoji now available. Pretty sure that'll get some serious use in other threads πŸ˜„

  24. Awake early again, looking forward to a lie in tomorrow! Off to see some folk in East Anglia, in fact, going to the village we lived in some 55 years ago! Be good today and return safely to your families! Sin, Gal, Moult, Whizz, Key.

  26. Bigger engine and 12–15” feed should be fine, but check how easy it is to move and set up.
