  3. Good morning Arbtalkers πŸ˜‰
  4. Morning all . Ridiculously mild . Going up to 17c they say . Have good one . Love Andy .
  5. Lot of Dodge Rams here for some reason. I was looking very hard and longingly at them. Landscaping mate (and my brother in law) had them, very nice drive.
  6. Wordle 1,600 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 🟨🟨⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟨⬜🟨🟩 ⬜🟨🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 poor effort.

  9. Alex its not going to happen. "Darren would get Sharron" to buy a gun,Darren would nick it/shoot their kid by accident, hire it to the local yardies before it would end up biffed into the Canal. Every street punk would get some infirm person to buy them a shooter and the streets would become far worse, thats already been covered on here. If the guy who bravely defended the people on the train had a gun then maybe it would have ended sooner,or maybe he would have panicked and mag dumped the lot down a packed carriage killing an maiming even more people.Because the more bullets you have, the more you tend to use. Carrying a pistol is a pain,if its easy enough to carry then its small enough to not be very effective/easy to use.If its a full size pistol then you are constantly aware of it and trying all the time to not expose it,I cant imagine having to ride the tube for example with a pistol in my wasteband, holding onto the overhead rail hoping some nutter wasnt going to make a grab for it.
  10. Yesterday
  11. I got that wrong, it's 55 years since I last had to do it. It does add but it does so by NANDing two numbers and the discarding the most significant bit (0)101==Decimal 5 (0)001== Decimal 1 (1)110 NANDed Discard most significant bit 110==Decimal 6 So the most basic thing a computer does is a comparison of binary digits and from this simple operation every thing which we do on a computer is based. Next it's qubits and that totally confuses me.
  12. @shavey
  13. Students cheating is the least of our worries when it comes to children and AI. Teenage boys using β€˜personalised’ AI for therapy and romance, survey finds | Artificial intelligence (AI) | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Male Allies UK worries rise in chatbot β€˜girlfriends’ will leave boys unable to socialise and respect boundaries "The research, based on a survey of boys in secondary education across 37 schools in England, Scotland and Wales, also found that more than half (53%) of teenage boys said they found the online world more rewarding than the real world."
  14. Interesting. I want to ask for a more in-depth explanation of the ANDing masquerading as adding thing. Guessing it's not something that fits neatly in a nutshell though. I was fascinated by Logic Gates when I was taught them all to briefly. Pattern recognition. A friend of mine was developing software to be used in a chicken nugget factory, or some such, around the turn of the century. It's purpose was to recognise and reject wrong or damaged ones by looking at their shape. AI wasn't even on the horizon then, it was just pattern recognition. He now works at GCHQ, something to do with policy, (that's all he's allowed to say).
  15. I genuinely struggled with this one. Wordle 1,599 6/6 β¬›πŸŸ¨β¬›β¬›β¬› β¬›β¬›πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨β¬› πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨β¬›πŸŸ¨β¬› β¬›πŸŸ©β¬›πŸŸ©β¬› β¬›πŸŸ©β¬›πŸŸ©πŸŸ¨ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  16. Well that doesnt sound good at all! Ive know a couple a scallys from the past and the consensus was if someone pulls a knife on you to rob you give them everything, if they pull a knife and dont ask for anything then you better run. If they pull a gun on you then you better give them their drugs stash back. Or, you could learn from the master.
  17. Yeah, that was what I concluded. Though I had them in a dim unheated garage I think, maybe if they were in a bright, warm conservatory or something they'd do better. No need to buy more seeds, just use some from last year's chillies. They're always viable. Dead easy, especially if your drying them out anyway.
  18. Not gonna disagree with you on that one. Don’t matter how strong or good you are with your hands when a blade is brought into the mix you are in trouble. I had the misfortune many years ago to end up in a scuffle that went tits up fast and ended up getting slashed in the face and forearms with a Stanley knife and a Pils bottle. The result that night was 56 stitches, a broken arm and a fractured skull and scarring that I’ve carried since that day. Reality is numbers and blades will win every time, real life ain’t like the movies, my biggest mistake that night was standing my ground and not legging it.
  19. Yep the chillies. Thats a shame I thought well established plants would do well. Ahh well, bin them and buy new next year then.
  20. You wouldn't. Picture it. Really picture it. Then watch the first 3 minutes of Law Abiding Citizen.
  21. The right to bear arms in America is far too restricted and it shows in the violence they suffer, attacks in gun free zones etc. I'd rather live in a free country.
  22. If we could be armed Alex we’d end up like America. I think I would rather get stabbed.
  23. I'm not bothered about ifs, coulds and maybes. I'm bothered about rights of individuals and the certainty of not being armed, which is harm. I say certainty because rule one of knife fighting is you're getting cut. Fcking grisly and fcking appalling. I want to be standing twenty feet back with 16 rounds of 9mm on tap. How dare anyone tell me I should have to walk twenty feet forward and get slashed to bits instead.
  24. Looking for insurance for our log business machinery and public liability who is using who ?????
  25. Amarok , I would buy another when mine finally dies… which seems a hard to do fete.. feels far more refined than most 4x4 pick ups on long journeys and with the kids in the back.
  26. AHPP

    Clutch spring hack

Yeah, which is slightly fair. But the power that pushes my 13" or 20" at easily quarter revs would definitely push a 28" round at least a bit.
