There’s been a trend for that on here for a long time as well you know. Some buggers just will not answer a straight question 🤔

be carefull about SDS's and big bits, I have burnt one up doing that. Milwaukee, Makita and Dewalts biggest and baddest drills all have more than enough cahoonas to do what your asking

Thanks for reply’s fellas! I will approach some local farmers and give that a shot. gutted you are in Surrey, appreciate it anyway 👌

With you 😂😂never in a million years lad

Yeah both Trakmets I have had have been mobile models, definitely not light built for sure. If you go for it with the Rock box wedge, let us know how you get on with it 👍👍I’ve been looking at eastonmade and wolferidge models myself.

Depends on the drill. If you have a battery SDS then that should definitely do it. If you have a decent Milwaukee drill with a decent sized battery or batteries. I would say it will do it.

sweet. i sent the same pic to the dealer and they said the same. thank you.

If you were in Sussex, I would have said you can use the woods on the estate I manage. But Yorkshire is a bit of a drive for you. sorry. 👍

If you know a local farmer or someone who has a patch of woodland, drop them a message/give them a call. It's what I did and haven't had a no yet, just make it clear that you won't be cutting anything and it's purely for practice/recreation. Oh, and if you do get in with a farmer or the like, Number one rule is always shut the gate, you don't want to be responsible for a randy bull to get out! -

Put 25% on top of what you can expect on your own jobs. Then if it becomes regular, start a crew that just does that contract.

I got the venom 22 ton as it suited my current needs, I agree it isn't the fastest splitter out there, but at 72 I probably would soon tire of trying to keep up with the fastest even the wife can use it too, I used an axe for much of my younger days, cheap, didn't require any trailer, and if you got busy just buy another one and get a buddy to double the output I think if I was starting again I would seriously look at a full processor type machine. but I suppose it depends on the level of production you need, I only split for my own personal use these days, not sure the outlet is as good as it once was, I expect location plays a part, as does burning regulations.

I corrected it. Which one? That has nothing to do with what police forces do at possible flash points and everything to do with whataboutary. You need a dictionary

Sure Just like,well....practically everywhere else on the planet. Sound system it is too, keeps the bludgers out. I have never had recourse to public funds in any of the four countries I needed a work visa for.

I think that is a movement limiter . Mine is a MK 1.5 so older but does not have an AV mount in that position .

When got quotes for timber prices last winter they were that high I don't think it's viable to buy it in personally unless you don't value your time or can sell it for a lot more than I'm able to.

Rock Machinery 37 ton box wedge splitter
polish pete replied to polish pete's topic in Firewood forum
My mate has one of these, nice idea with vertical-horizontal system. Good for the oversized arb waste rings in vertical but the horizontal seems to be slow. I use vertical one (forgot the name) with waist high table to operate. Pretty good if you don't have to lift big rings. I was thinking about second machine just to deal with big stuff on the floor. I have a 16hp Iseki tractor that could power something. But it just adds to the whole system. This box wedge looks very handy.
