  1. Past hour
  2. The funny(?) thing is we're still drinking from lead now. A lot of domestic water supplies incorporate old lead pipes somewhere along the line, normally buried in inaccessible places.
  3. Hi Iam the janitor in st columbkilles priamry school and we are looking to have a large amount of wood chips delivered to our primary school for our trim trail and also we are extending our trim trail along the grass area so the children can get out and play in this area in all weathers . we have all the wood and tarpolines on order. the access point is through big double gates the another set of doulde gates to the tipping area all on a hard surface so easy access then to be tipped in between the clothing bank and small storage shed in the picture . we have all ready had several big vehicles in this area . we had a big 40 yard skip vehicle in this area and got in and out no problem. this would be great if we could get big loads of would chip as we need around 40 ton to complete the whole trim trail as its all muddy and needing scrapped back and filled with wood chips so the children can have fun and play on the trim trail. hope to hear back soon about organising loads of wood chips thanks so much craig
  4. I don't know what you're worrying about Mark. Morality will prevail.
  5. You can't blame her for getting shot three times. The masked ICE agents were the ones attacking her car, not the other way round. It's a very slippery slope if you consider that her execution was in any way justified.
  6. Ave, barkeep. Two cups of Gaulish wine please. Leaded or unleaded, gents? Interesting. Didn’t know that. I do know why plumbers are called plumbers though. The scientific name for lead is plumbum, hence Pb on the periodic table. So a bloke who works with plumbum pipes is a plumber. Confusingly, nowadays house water pipes are made of copper but a copper is the big fellow with the moustache and the truncheon (at least according to a film I saw once). Nice trivia.
  7. Kind of true still, if it is too long you forget points or your eyes glaze over towards the end of reading it. If I get one that is too long then my first assumption is whoever wrote it just copied and pasted from previous examples, cover everything, without ever looking at the site or site conditions. My favourite example is specifying a hard hat to walk into a green field months before any plant is considered to start work there. Copy and paste, makes me wonder if the rest of the risk assessment is up to the job.
  8. Today
  9. I am an experienced climber competent in all aspects of the job. Looking to get as much weekend work as i can get this year. Please get in contact if interested
  10. The RA should be short. 2 key elements are 1. deal with 99% of tehrisks by specifying that only competent people are used. 2. Deal with the other 1% by checking for unusual risks and specifying control measures. If the workforce is competent the 1% can fit on one page and the workforce can be involved in completing it.
  11. Its basically the same thing

  16. Morning all, Enjoyed some connie bashing yesterday at last. Two inches of snow if that here. Taking Hilux in for its service, windscreen not even frozen over outside. Be safe.

  18. Wordle 1,665 2/6 🟩⬛⬛🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Took a while to get that one.
  19. Morning, -8 when I went to bed and it was to get colder. No more snow. The roads were great yesterday and everything was crisp. Big breakfast at 8am with the boys and then an after lunch Friday finish all going to plan. Have a good 1.
  20. Morning troops . The wind is winding biggley . Heavy over night rain . Happy Friday !
  21. White slush out, and more incoming. On patrol looking for biomass type of people today. I'll not drag the demo unit about, I had a couple of scary moments the other day in the ice! Be careful and return home safe!.... Fall, Salaam.
  22. Morning chaps and any chapets. Cold, doesn't seem as clear as the last few days, but not bad overall. Have a good one.
  23. Good Morning No Snow. My Father in Law always used to say. It looks good on post cards, I tend to agree. After a while the white fresh goes and is replaced by slushy grey. Sorry, bad kip again and woke up miserable. She's in the shower now! have a splendid Friday and great weekend, safely.
  24. I love a couple of days of snow, the landscape looks different, there’s a different and glorious light, and the air is so nice to breathe, I feel like a kid. I’d sacrifice a couple of days of inconvenience once a year for the pleasure of snow. Happy Friday folks.
  25. Happy Friday Arbtalkers 🥳🥳 I think we escaped the expected snow too 😊

  27. I forgot one more thing: what SHOULD be in the news is that USA is 34-35 Trillion US $ in debt ,most of it to a "certain asian country"/China... And that the interest to be paid by US alone on that debt is about 1 trillion(1000 billion US $). Coincidentally ,that amount of ca$h is roughly THE SAME as US defence budget... SO : for first time in its history USA has to choose between spending on defence/Army stuff or on financial interest for some debt! Didn't took long until sht hit the fan and ,as usual, when you corner a dangerous animal ,it will attack you regardless of consequences! As seen in first days of 2026! Heavy crude oil is what is needed in USA refineries? Maduro goes to jail for life, US companies move in to steal/ "get their heavy crude oil back"... This is fcnkg beyond disgusting! And I bet its not the last of it that we'll see in 2026 or following years! China and Russia know the situation. That's why they're "SO QUIET"... They know what the crazy yankee are capable off... Russian invasion of Ukraine or even China attacking Taiwan would look like childs play in the park 🤔 May God have mercy on all the rest of us! And Greenland about to be taking over by force from Denmark... Next USA state... just watch the news in next 3 months! 😳
