I was driving to a fairly out the way Tilhill woodland in the dark one Saturday evening to walk the dogs, single track road for a few miles from the main road. A car in a layby near to the junction pulled out behind me and followed to the forest car park which seemed strange, had me on edge when it parked opposite so I jumped out confidently and let the dogs out in a show of force (had 3, one a German shepherd). A lone, older guy got out at the same time and said "you brought dogs?". I replied of course, couldn't walk them otherwise could I! He said no more and left, quickly, looking very awkward. Only realised what had happened when I told a mate who explained that car park had a reputation for nocturnal activity among gentleman. If eggs finds this airtag, feel free to send it up north to me to give whoever is playing a game the runaround.

There are many events and periods in history I'd love to go back and witness. Building the great pyramids, the fire of London, the lawless Border Riever times, or the Battle of Flodden in 1513, when on Branxton Moor in Northumberland the largest battle between England and Scotland took place. Over 65000 men engaged and an estimated 18000 men lost their lives in a single day. The English prevailed. There'd be countless events worth witnessing. I'd also love to see my local area during geologically defining times. For instance The Silurian Period when the notable Eildon Hills which I live in the shadow of (as the Celts and Romans among others have before me) were formed by volcanic activity on the bed of a warm, shallow sea. Or the retreat of the last ice age when the landscape as we know it now was created. To pick one thing for me though, I think it'd be the time when wolves and humans began to collaborate leading to our current relationship with dogs. If you could travel back in time, where or when would you most like to go back to visit?
