  11. Can you draw up a bill of quantities and break it down item by item /job by job/Hourly rates that can cover both you and them so everyone knows exactly what the cost will be for both parties,My lads use my kit all the time on their own jobs where it be a trailer/excavator ect ect and we never have issues.Just make sure all insurances are in place and any none payments are down to them and not to you so in that case you will still get paid. That way they will realize what it takes to run a full business with all the overheads involved,Cash jobs are always nice though. Feck the tax/vat man. ?? . Tell them to take one of these below if it goes tits up
  12. Guys i have probably made and hung more gates than most being a carpenter joiner,Larch is not a heavy timber and its only a pair of 5 bar gates being hung on 9x9 oak posts,The hinges in the above picture will be more than strong enough for the job with the bolts he is using,I would fit the top hinge first and then lift the gate on to it,You can then pack up the gate on the outer end in the closed position to where it should be and the fit the bottom hinge upside down to avoid anyone stealing them and repeat the same for the second gate making sure you position both to the correct fit. Very simple indeed.
  13. 7 mm wood bit will do the job
