  10. Take a look at this one john if you can do a deal on it Wadkin Planer Thicknesser 240v
  11. Happens all the time and as long as the mounts are the same.Like to buy the genuine thing myself and not a fan of the domain stuff compared to wadkin and sedgwick. Just seems every thing on the domain and wilson seems bulky and oversized.May be just me but used enough of them to compare.
  12. Crazy price. We have a tow compressor in the yard and use kiln sand and then re use it by putting through a mesh filter.Thing will blast the back of a 10 ton lorry in under an hour.
  13. May be able to help you out with these.
  14. In my phone dyno Rod holmes ?, See the oil baron JR (Trigger) is arse kissing you again. What a pair you 2 make for fooks sake and make little and large look a pair of old school boys in the comedy game. ? I am still out milling as it goes but will upload for you as soon as eggs boyo.
  15. In that condition between £800-1200. Without seeing how it functions and the quality of the item in general its hard to say but sold as seen the price above will be there or there abouts No doubt some of the so called experts will be along to say different (trigger and eggs) ? WADKIN 12 X 7 PLANER THICKNESSER (3 PHASE)
  16. Can someone see it running ? What make is it as looks like a wilson or domain from the photo
  17. Why ?? With the lock down work gone slow ?
  18. Single or 3 phase ? What size bed as looks 10" or 12 " x 8
  19. Pretty much the same as i have steve. Yours is to cleaner than mine though ?
  20. See the milling thread i posted last week steve (ash) Over there later this week and have got a couple of blanks you are welcome to.
  21. Its very easy to set the blades john and i mean very easy.I have a 12x8 machine in my shop that would suit you perfect but its a 3 phase.I have acquired a larger wadkin with the milling side of things so needed a bigger one.You will be paying through the nose from a dealer for a decent planer like we are mentioning. What sort of budget are you at ?? £1500-2200 should get you there. 3k for a top end one refurbished plus the dreaded vat.
  22. Look for an older wadkin or sedgwick single phase (bomb proof) Cast iron quality but you will struggle on the self setting cutters though. Look for a triple blade cutting block as i only have a double and the extra cutter makes a big difference. What area are you john as i am on another forum more dedicated to this sort of thing and could ask on there for you.
  23. I am popping out for an hour over my mates. Will take a photo of the oak porch i made 4 years ago with the stairs in the back ground ?
  24. In the last 12 years around 6 of us (tradesmen buddies) have all done massive self builds and every stair case in them i have done but know nothing on the subject ? Not a kind of chap who just buys a sawmill and lets go and have a bash like some on here ?
  25. Point being that steel can be picked up in what ever sizes and spec required for a fraction of the cost of new. (Fact) Only a few years back they spent 4 years taking down a massive steel works and there is still a abundance of it about all within a mile or two of me.
