Course it matters how many firms you work for.If someone work full time for 1 company they will need to be laid off then taken back on to be ale to be self employed/sub contract to that firm in question. While duration is only one factor among many that determines whether a worker is a contractor or an employee, six months is usually recommended as a safe duration and one-year should usually be considered an outside limit, assuming that the other independent contractor criteria are met.
  2. I use a mobile plant fitter martin who is mustard and he is £35 an hour on site so surly you must be able to do something similar ?

  11. A sub contractor normally means that a person works for more than 1 company so they sub contract rather than go directly employed. UK law stats that if a person works solely for one company continuous then they will need to be employed.

  20. Swinny if you were close to me a would be taking a large amount of that size larch for sure. 2.5 m is perfect for sleepers and 4x4 posts as well as cladding.

  22. The guy posted an advert for staff and did not put where in the uk he was based so i pointed it out as to help him,What is wrong with that as just being helpful and he edited his post after.
