    Look out!

Which track is local to you Stubby? Used to do a bit of racing / spannering about 10yrs ago, sold my last road bike for three windows and a door [emoji24]
  2. That was a short and sweet article!!! You wont stop it, it’ll just up the amount of thieving and illegal cutting down of trees and the like. How many people or authorities in all honesty, stop to ask the question “why are you chopping that tree down?” If your wearing hi-vis and have a pickup, transit or box van that half resembles a tree surgeons, gardeners, councils set up then people dont look twice. Thats the start and continuation of “the black market” as they call it. Time will tell i guess.
  3. Avtex do a lot of stuff thats 12v low voltage usage stuff, aimed at the camping / Caravanning market, very good clever stuff but expensive. Having said that, i’ve never heard bad reports on anything they’ve made, so may be one of those case...... you get what you pay for [emoji6]?‍♂️[emoji106]
  4. Just flicked on to caravan club now and they advertise avtex navs, they’re nearly £400-£500 tho [emoji15][emoji33][emoji27] I would imagine that any “hgv” promoted nav is going to be pretty good, i’d be happy paying £200 for a nav personally but £400 is too much in my opinion. Take a look at “trucknavs” just punch it in to google, its an 01524 contact number, Lancaster which isnt to far from me, hes an ex truck driver that has cottoned on to a niche in the market looking at the website, seems very reasonable [emoji106]
  5. I sold my van 2yrs ago to concentrate of finishing house due to job offer in cape town but i think it was the sn7000, but may be a better one on the market by now ?‍♂️ i’ll do a bit of digging for ya and post again [emoji106]
  6. We have tom tom in our fleet eggs, to monitor drivers locations, fuel usage, delivery routes, driving time, breaks blah blah blah..... AWESOME piece of kit and the actual onboard sat nav that the system is linked to in the cab it spot on too [emoji108] Obviously price wise to an individual like yourself is probably not feasible. I’d recommend the snooper navs, can programme your weights, widths, heights etc and the screen is a good size on em, caravan club do some promotional deals on em sometimes if your using it in conjunction with your camper and your if registered with that club could be worth a looksy for ya [emoji6][emoji106]
  7. Interesting point Mike [emoji6] Would love to see more of Scotland, but whats disappointing is that “national trust” Scotland is different to “national trust England” ?!!!!! Hows that work? Honestly thought that the membership would entitle us all to places either side of the borders! [emoji15][emoji30]
  8. Hey stubby, did you manage to route out the trousers?
  9. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] sorry! Only pulling ya leg, i’m still learning with em yet, thats why i pick your brains occasionally. Your highly respected and very knowledgeable with a damn good reputation too.
  10. Sweet [emoji108] yeah post the pics! Bullet proof those buses [emoji106] sound investment, just keep on top of your bodywork.
  11. Thats a downer i’d herd about having still to pay for entering places i.e stately homes [emoji35] are they even partially discounted or just still full cost?
  12. While you mention it eggs [emoji6]..... and not to stray too far from original post, did you get sorted with a base vehicle for a camper?
  13. Do you get free parking at all national trust (carrying the proper logo) sites and car parks? They can be bloody expensive some of em [emoji33]?
  14. Hey all, just as title thread suggests, been pondering on signing up to the national trust membership. Can anyone give any for and against points on the matter? we enjoy looking round everything old and also are interested in the grounds and scenery that comes with it all. Any views would be great.
  15. Pure ash is sought after by allotment owners, apparently it is good for clay like soils as it helps to break the clay down and make it less claggy?!? [emoji15]?‍♂️ lad at work takes my ash from my burner..... when i eventually get a build up, my stove is that clean burning it hardly leaves any ash at all.
  16. Been mentioned in another thread before, I give mine to local farmers, they use it for bedding horses, cows down etc, in return if they have a tree down at any point i’ll get a phone call to come and get shut of it. Sometimes they’ll keep some wood for themselves or other times they’ll just say no you keep it [emoji6][emoji108] i bag sawdust up for em again on site and tidy up best i can, good impression and all that, and it sorts me out with my firewood for next season, favours bring favours [emoji106]
  17. And the troublesome two together when he was about 18 months and Agg’s would be about 8 months. Like butter wouldnt melt!!!
  18. Top man Erik, good to see people rescuing and helping out the abused [emoji106]had an irish staff myself nearly 8 years ago now, had him put to sleep cos he started having fits, eventually this led to cluster fitting. Poor lad “Murphy” was only 2 1/2 at the time, no life at all. We rescued him from a drugs den in wales, not too far outside wrexham. Here he is just before we lost him.
  19. Aggie (our boxer dog) doesnt really forage or route to be fair, shes quite sedate for a boxer, no not had her eat any mercury, we do plenty of woodland and riverside walking with her too. Not had any mates report of theirs eating any either. No sorry.
  20. Pressure test cold and hot? When you say its pressurising, does it happen before the engines up to temp or once the engines up and past running temp?
  21. Day out by the river = filthy dog after a few days of rain!
  22. Thats my point, things will get exaggerated and the innocent ones will pay the price. Was just an invented scenario thats all.
