I believe that changing the plate makes no difference, you will not be prosecuted for having a trailer plated more than the vehicle rating. I used to tow a 2700kg trailer behind my car sometimes, but now have a defender and 3500kg trailer so the problem went away.

Other option being good secondhand 461 in the region 5-600, if you can find one you trust.

One of my assessors told us he started out in LA work, he saw it as a good opportunity to get climbing as a beginner as all the old lags were very happy to let him climb and offer advice. Sometimes you hear of new climbers not being allowed to climb as there is time pressure, so they end up on the ground too much of the time. Not for too long though, sounds like you'd get fatter not thinner on that work regime.

I'd get an Oregon one though, you should need 18720. The Husqvarna oem number is different, same part. The smoke isn't great for you, just like any other smoke really. Carbon monoxide, fine particulates etc.

I thought about buying an Echo to make me a better climber but it's too late as @Rich Rule says I've been turned homosensual by touching makitas. Done a search, nearly as many 151/2511 threads as 261/550. Plenty of videos, this one shows the 151 improved 35% by the exhaust mod and just behind the 2511

You can hear someone coming on Insa Turbos from about a mile away though, have a look on eBay and buy a set from someone that couldn't live with the noise.

Cooper MT , BFG MT, Kumho MT are the ones which kept coming up when I was searching around last year. I went for the BFG ATs in the end, didn't want the noise of MT. Yesterday bogged at an allotment I wished maybe I had the MT, but towing the trailer across wet grass is a pretty tall order. Dropped trailer off and easily drove to concrete and then towed it out with a rope.

Yeah I'm just joking around really, I don't own a 2511 and my 150s in little danger of wearing out as I basically use battery for anything small. Cut speed's not everything, flick of the thumb and I'm half way through before I'd have finished pulling the starter cord, also really handy to put down in your lap without burning a hole in your trousers so less swinging it around out of the way. Anyway, what about a nice T525 ?

Reliable, wakes up with an exhaust mod, makes the 2511 feel like a plastic toy. How many "how to tune my 150 because it won't idle" threads can you find on arbtalk? Great choice.

I use Makita top handles all the time, the 18v for me is pruning and hedge work only, up to say 2" cuts. For logs you'd want the 36v. Sawing 6" logs I reckon you'd get a boot full done, when it's bigger wood the battery goes flat quicker. I have a 10" bar on mine, when it gets that size I switch to petrol.

Given we weren't expecting the greenhouse half the time, whatever we can find around. Dumpy bags, tarps, ply, ground mats all good.

I'd check the manual too, I looked at my Makita one and the lights are 1 light - 0 to 25% 2 lights - 25 to 50% 3 lights - 50 to 75% 4 lights - 75 to 100% Once it's at 1 light it won't really cut, sounds like yours. In fact heavy cuts not as good with 2 lights on. This seemed a bit counter intuitive as you can't see the difference between a full 100% battery and a 90% battery, but I guess if the top light was actually only for 100% then it might not turn on when the battery is a bit old.

One I did I found the leaves strip off by pulling down , then stems are pretty soft and cut easy with a silky. Chainsaw lower down. Leaves will tangle a chainsaw yes, don't attempt it.

We had a Canadian guy over contracting, think he's from Montreal. The way he described it they worked a 9 month season, the other 3 hassle with snow, frozen gear, iced up chippers, etc. Just not worth trying to work in it.

I've heard a similar story about a theft diesel from a generator, the people had to pay a huge clean up bill for the diesel spill. -

I've seen a few sprouting from low down, seems to make sense that the frost damage didn't get to the roots. -
Think about weather too, BC is wet but not as cold as say Montreal.
