  1. Well I disagree but it's a pointless debate. No one knows. For sure there are a lot of scummy men out there but it aint 1 in 6. Anyhow, a man in Canada was convicted of raping several women and he did time, some decades, as I recall. The guilty man was caught and he was subsequently released from prison and received millions in compensation. The victims, with the help of a third wave feminist legal organisation are currently suing the innocent man for his compensation in court. That is your 3rd wave feminism for you.
  2. I does not prove feminism is bad but I don't see feminists beating their drum for fair and equal punishments for those who A- carry out damn evil acts or B - devalue and demean those poor women who do experience such a thing. Regarding 1 in 6. In the western world I simply do not believe that. I've had intimate relations with 15 or so women. 4 long term and not one of them told me they'd been raped.
  3. WTF I just passed B & E maybe 2 years ago and I pull a 3.5 tons tipper trailer regularly training close to 7 tons. Are you telling me I need an operators licence now also. And that my vehicle setup counts as a lorry so I can't park at my house anymore? Please explain
  4. That women is an utter twat beyond measure.
  5. Agreed but I think it's pretty clear no normal thinking person would object to women being treated as equals.
  6. Attempt to have 2 human beings locked away for 20 years for no reason. Permanently ruin their present lives, their future lives. Take away their families and friends = evil as ***k 1 year in prison Where are the feminists demanding equal and fair justice? Doesn't feminism yearn for equal rights??
  7. I followed those guidelines above and there was a complaint and the local authority came round and said it was not "in keeping" with the surrounding area. 2 K later they have closed the case pending lawful planning application.
  8. Take my advice and put in a lawful planning application if you build a large shed. Take photos of the outside and inside and mix the stuff in it with domestic stuff. Weight bench, dog bed, guitar, beer fridge, lazy boy as well as your machines. I'm still dealing with BS regarding my shed. It's looking like it's going in my favour as in the local authority have closed the case pending the result of the lawful planning app but still it's cost me a couple of grand and A LOT of hassle. Neighbour is writing letters of complaint left right and centre but I am legal so it's looking good. Stay below 2.5 meters in height and less than 50% of the garden curtilage.
  9. What sort of land allows you to store logs and machines in an outbuilding? Round here it's all either ULTRA expensive or greenbelt. Not very knowledgeable of land law.
  10. And rightly so. I hope you gave him a damn good thrashing.... That would *iss me off.
  11. Tidy, apart from the cross roads in the patio. Doesn't require a lot of thinking to make sure all joints are offset for better aesthetics. Aside from that looks very nice. Why did they put the gravel bed between the walling and grass? Was it to offset expansion and contraction loads on the wall?
  12. As the title says really. Just occurred to me I can't recall seeing woodchip in the green waste pile at my local recyclers. Cost difference between the 2 is HUGE. Cheers
  13. That's gonna hurt more in the days/ weeks to come than it does now judging by how I felt when I did similar damage to my hand. Ouch
  14. Thanks for feedback. I have problem neighbours who are trying to screw me at every chance they get so I have to keep my house in order. Once I'm in trees as well as fencing, a yard is going to be essential. 500 per month is a lot but pretty much what I expected. Probably business rates on top I assume. Need a 3 man crew working all year efficiently to justify it. A lot to think about and my hang over is getting worse it seems. All doom and gloom lol.
  15. How do you manage?
  16. Hi Gotta a tiny patch of land area near me for putting timber and such on the ground but has no roof etc and isn't big enough. They don't have anywhere else suitable that's big enough for what I'll need next year. I reckon ideally I need something about the size of a quadruple garage with a roof and some outside storage of about similar size. Just wondering how I go about finding something like that local to me and what I should expect to pay per month? Cheers
  17. As I recall the cabstar has the best payload. I like the look of the grafters too. Ford tippers have poor payload. Especially with twin rear wheels. Had a crew cab one with a cage on. Something like 500kg legally in the back once I had tools in the crew cab. Probably zero payload with 3 fat lads in the front.
  18. To be fair it's a hell of a grinder... Why would a 1 man show need more than that?
  19. First few eps of the expanse i thought were wishy washy. Wasn't too keen then it got so much better. Binged the rest. Haven't yet seen season 3. Forgot it was due out. Wooot.
  20. Don't wanna be a dick or anything but if I had a remote operated stump grinder I'd have an easier time working 18 hours a day than I currently do working 12 hours a day. More power to you but I don't consider that work even.
  21. What a surprise... the suspect the death is linked to climate change.
  22. what about good old fashioned cement slurry SBR mix?
  23. I get what you're saying but I'm telling you I have looked at tons of other peoples reviews and there are some damn good companies out there with 1 or 2 scathing reviews where for example. 200 reviews, all good, 1 where customer complained that they didn't grind a stump out. Response was we are upset that checkatrade allowed this review as we simply couldn't access area with stump grinder. Took the price off the job and apologised. Tried to cut stumps as low as possible with chainsaws and ruined chains. Customer was very upset as they wished to put a shed base there. We are very sorry but we simply could not carry out the stump grinding --- marks 0,0,0,0 Tell me that doesn't sound like a legit situation that could not be remedied. That one zero knocks them a point down on the first decimal place. And with all the BSers on checkatrade who hand pick who they're given report cards to that's a big hit.
  24. Just one thing to add. Checkatrade is kinda BS but it's not meaningless. It's BS cos my competitors sometimes have better over all score than me but they are getting like 10 reviews a year. If you hand pick your reviews from the little old lady who was just happy to have a chat then it's easy to get straight 10's. If you are getting 50 a year you aren't hand picking them. My score is genuine. I get a review a week and everyone is asked to leave one. The reason it's not meaningless is that if you do a crap job and the customer knows you're on CAT, then they can review you. Often they wont bother but some, like me, will do if they feel slighted. I say fair play to them. If you're getting 50 reviews a year and not getting a bad one it DOES indicate the it's highly like you don't regularly do crap work.
