  1. Had my 550xp stolen about 6 weeks ago. Been struggling by with my little makita li ion top handle. Love that little saw but obviously it's not up to bigger stuff or doing things quickly. Anyhow, haven't cut a thing with it yet. Just put oil and fuel in it and started it on the weekend. Initial impressions are..... very sexy. Anyone own one?
  2. Wow, must be a total yawn fest.
  3. People who like to have lengthy, deep convo's in the truck on the way into work first thing in the morning! ""for god sake STFU while I attempt to slowly abandon my suicidal ideation""
  4. Customers who talk endlessly either when you're quoting the job (usually after a hard days work) or when you're on the job (trying to get things done, get paid and get out).... Customers who expect you to do things you haven't quoted for. Especially ones who think you're unreasonable cos you aren't prepared to do several extra hours work for free. (5 min jobs I don't mind and will often offer if it's an easy improvement whilst tools are at the ready) And the worst one... Customers who haven't read the quote and think it's your responsibility to do what they want even though you've quoted for something different!
  5. Absolute bollocks! It goes without saying that pervs of any description should be targeted but Muslims have gotten kid glove treatment due to their massive sensitivity and minority status. When 4% of the population are committing 80+% of a type of crime, that being probably the worst of all, you know, raping children, then it needs to be fucking reported by someone, anyone.. I'll take Tommy, seen as that was my only option on the day. I bloody thank him for it. What also needs to be reported is that this is NOT about race. This is about religion. Not a single child was a Muslim, yet the perpetrators were nearly all Muslim. Why? Because it's OK to rape non Muslims as long as your pray to Mecca afterwards. The Catholic priest pedo's weren't specifically targeting non Catholics ffs. This is a serious issue and it needs air time, in any manner possible. I'm glad this has blown up. approaching 500,000 signatures now to petition for his release. Government must be shitting it. And they should! I'm disgusted with the continuous double standard. Just to belabour the point.. 10s OF THOUSANDS OF NON MUSLIM CHILDREN HAVE BEEN AND ARE BEING RAPED AND TORTURED BY MUSLIMS AND IT HAS BEEN SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET BY THE GOVERNMENT AND MSM. There is something wrong with your head!
  6. Sponge bathing my mrs Coffee in the dark in the morning The delicious sensation of the mattress at the end of Friday and 2/3 of a bottle of port BBQ'd jerk chicken
  7. Best of luck to them. Harry is the only one I thought seemed normal and she seems quite genuine too. Other than that I don't give a f**k
  8. You'd bloody think so.... I'm not a tree surgeon but looking at those trunks I'd estimate that could have gone down any moment and they'd soon look for someone to blame if it fell and killed someone. Unlucky for the birds but to me that's an easy decision. Interesting thread though. Makes me wonder whether drilling a trunk now and then to feel how solid it is might be wise?
  9. It's a disgrace. The door has been opened to prosecution for causing offence. This should concern everyone.
  10. Why are we living in luxury at their expense though? If we were living in luxury at their expense I'd feel more inclined to be philanthropic but I don't see how our standard of living is to their detriment. Lack of reformation of Islam is to their detriment, as was the lack of reformation of Christianity to ours 500 years ago.
  11. My point was I think you might find that your views are not polar opposite as you might think if all parties stopped beating their left/ right drum. I want the truth, even if I'm wrong.
  12. The problem is you're arguing from two totally different standpoints. One view is immigration is good, the other is it's bad when there are arguments for and against both points. There is no definitive answer. I think, to a degree, immigration is definitely good, to a degree. My Mrs is not white, nor English and my dad was an immigrant.... However, you gotta admit the capital city of this country is no longer English and that is not right. I'm not saying it's no longer white, (although it isn't) I lived there for 5 years and there are lots of decent people from all ethnicities that consider themselves, and I considered them to be English and that really is a good thing IMO. But it's not the general rule now. There are lot of cities in this country now where the people that occupy them do not consider themselves English at all and worse still, disrespect the society which they chose to live in to find a better life and that pisses me off.
  13. Well.. god.. one could write a thesis based on that exclamation but I'll keep succinct. Obviously that's your opinion and fair enough but you can't argue with the fact that most conservatives at some point were liberal before they became conservative. Rare that it goes the other way...
  14. Sometimes do. Sometimes it comes off like you're inflating the problems to prepare for an inflated price. To avoid it I sometime just say sorry no it's not a straight forward job and it has a high risk reward ratio and I just don't need to take it on. Goes either way though even that.
  15. Definitely not but they are a fraction of the price also. As are their batteries and charger.
  16. Yeah I've been making a conscious effort not to also for those very reasons but I still find myself doing it on occasion. Lately quite a lot. Dunno why but I've just been getting lots of crap non profitable work come at me last month or 2 and in most cases they people have been really nice which I hate. Much prefer dealing with bastards in a strange way.
  17. Do it often. Can be quite complex explaining things that require a type of structural/ logistics mindset to people. Some get it, some just don't or they think you're BSing them
  18. Yes he is a twat I 100% agree. We are currently discussing one of my top 5 pet peeves. It is more annoying than excess packaging even.. OMG excess packaging...
  19. Cos he's a manlet who's scared of the NO
  20. Happened again today. Went home looked at the video. Figured all the mortises have to be done by hand to marry with their "home built" effort, all posts in exact same positions as current ones meaning a ball ache and patio to cut up etc for 7.5 meters of closeboard and gate. Said sorry, no thanks. Customer massively pissy lol
  21. If you want a saw that last for ages and cuts good enough and is solid and not too expensive, get the makita. It will cut through anything. Can't get chains cheap though. If you need a pro saw for working up a tree then it's got to be husq or stihl. I'm going to be getting the Husq model. Benefits of a battery saw in my experience! 1- No petrol - Obviously 2- quick and easy battery replacement 3- Silent (when the triggers not pulled it's not running - easy to communicate with other people like if you're at the top of a tree) 4- Silent - Customers love it 5- No fumes Only 2 down sides to them that I can possibly think of is battery cost, especially for stihil/ husq models. Bloody expensive and so are the chargers and lastly, easy to not respect the tool. So quiet you can forget how dangerous it is. The Makita is an exception due to it being SLOW chain revolution you really would have to be a total idiot to hurt yourself with it. It'll kick back of course but there's just not enough power there to provide the kind of quick kick back that you wouldn't quickly over ride with a flex of the muscles even when using one handed.
  22. Nothing wrong with having it inside of 2 meters to the boundary as long as it's below 50% of garden or <30m2 and at 2.5 meters or below. Purely a business thing and the run off potentially wrecking his fence. Business is bullshit and run-off will be remedied (at last possible moment ;-))
  23. Commissioned a planning consultant to liaise with the council. He said that there are no guarantees but he'd be staggered if I'm forced to take it down because ultimately it's within regulations. Need to fit guttering and prove it's used for domestic purposes and storing of some equipment and take photos and measurements etc. and should be good. God I hope so. I can't wait to tell that guy to suck my **s
  24. Seen that interview. Blew my mind. Been meaning to watch it again cos I just could not take it all in. Absolutely fascinating.
  25. Agreed. I'm a fervent atheist and one of the people I admire most in the world is a Jamaican Adventist preacher. The dude is sheer class and never preached one word to me if you discount apologies for the occasional prayer in my direction. God knows whether without his devotion to his faith he'd be the person he is but I always looked up to him and I don't look up to anyone really. As long as it does no harm to others then whatever give you peace is not my business, or interest.
