  1. I have Pinto Pulley and the Teufelberger Ocean Polyester Eye 2 Eye Prussic / hitch cord does.
  2. I think you will find that that is just a standard time for getting something in from a main supplier to you. But if they have not got stock, they won’t be able to meet that target. I was surprised that my local dealer had a deliver of a 585 as he is a smaller dealer compared to many of the others. But I guess he just got his order in quicker.
  3. 592xp has not been released yet in the UK (other than Husky ambassadors). Although my local Husqvarna dealer Tom’s Mower in Llandrindod Wells has taken delivery of the 585😳 But I am still waiting for the 592xp that was ordered and paid for last August 🙈 But to answer your question the 592xp will be the best Husquvana you can buy for milling. Your only other option would be a Stihl 661 or 881. They are already out in dealers, but availability is a little hit and miss It should not be long for the 592xp
  4. This kit. 👍 that’s what I have
  5. 😳😡If they hit the dealers in August that will be one year from being able to order them.😖 I would say that if Husqvarna announce anything, just stock up on Stihl. At least you can sell it when Husky wet people appetites and can't deliver. I have heard that a lot of people gave up waiting for the Husqvarna 592xp, Especially when Stihl was supplying 661's and 881's. Husqvarna have struggled to deliver a lot of items.
  6. Well there is no sign that Husqvarna will be able to deliver the 592xp in April only 8x months since I paid for it and the dealer ordered it 🙄
  7. I started climbing at tree at 53/54... I am now 56😂 So you have plenty of time to grow old disgracefully😂
  8. The own of the damaged house claims on his insurance. And his insurance bounces the tree owners insurance, and if uninsured, bounces the tree owner.
  9. The tree is your property, and has fallen into a neighbours garden (If It has or has not caused any damage) it is your legal responsibility to resolve the matter. Yes the neighbour can contact his, insurance company their loss adjusters will come out and and bring a claim on your house hold insurance policy to recover their losses. If your not covered for that, because you have failed to mention / declare that you have trees on your property. Your insurance company might not cover you under the policy you have. You will then be left fighting an insurance company with their own legal team pursuing you for the recovery of their losses and legal fees. this will mount up very quickly. If you can't settle, they will debt collect it or levy it against your property. As for the time scale to deal with this in the courts. It will depend on the value of your claim and your solicitors. County Courts, possibly six months. For a big claim High Courts six months to a two years. The longer it goes on for the bigger the claim and liability you will face. I am on a committee that manages some land and we have to have insurance cover, as there are trees on it there are stipulations in the fine print that states that the trees need to be managed and maintained for cover to remain active. This means basic documented tree inspections and relevant work / maintenance being undertaken under the due care and attention clauses. If there is a tree failure in say a storm, we are liable for any damage it causes. That is why you have insurance.
  10. Yeh Right... The fine could be £ 10,000 to £ 20,000... It really is not hard to do this properly... 1) Email the Local Planning Department with a map, Aerial Google View identifying the trees that work is plan on, A brief out line of the proposed work. 2) Ask if there is any TPO's, Conservation Orders or any Planning Stipulation that would pose an issue. The Planning office will respond with a straight answer. If there isn't any ordered you can crack on. If there is an issue you will need to submit a Tree Works Planning Application. But don't don't touch the job if there is... You will end up in Court, Big Fines, Your name and professional reputation will be mud, and everyone will know it.
  11. I recon it will be about July 2022 before dealers see it in the UK... My dealer says that the Husky rep hasn't got the slightest idea when the dealer will see them.
  12. H&S Risk assess that for the Groundie below..... It seems to be a common issue with the Husky 540 battery saw.
  13. Thanks and I agree… But I don’t know anyone in Mid Wales that climbs SRT
  14. Helpful Advice Please from SRT Climbers... Having only ever climber on DRT, I have had my first attempt at trying to climb on SRT.. I thought it would be beneficial in aiding me in getting into the canopy... But it didn't seem any easier than DRT, in fact, it seemed far harder.. (Watching Youtube videos people make it look so easy)... - I am climbing using the following kit: Petzl Sequoia SRT Tree Care Harness, Petzl ZigZag & Chicane, SRT Chest Harness & Clip, CT Foot Ascender, and a Systeme 3A Knee Ascender, on Teufelberger Tachyon 11.5 45m Rope.. So what am I doing wrong? - I seem to be spinning around on the rope more than Kylie Manogue on stage...... - The ZigZag & Chichane can't go any lower on my bridge (I have the shortest bridge available) and it seems to leave me with very little hand space above for trying to stay hold myself vertical. which then means that my feet want to raise up. So what advice would you give me to try and improve my technique? ***Picture just for interest, taken on my first climb with SRT***
  15. No..... But someone got in a flap about it 🤣
  16. SRT advice needed? Currently climbing using DRT with a ZigZag on the main line and a DMM Hitchclimber and prosaic on a second line. I would be interested in having a go at climbing SRT. So what is the best system set-up for climbing on SRT and why? 1) ZigZag & Chicane 2) Rope Wrench 3) other options?
  17. Hi Outinthewoods Thanks for the clarification. for those of use who are instagram. any chance you can post you view here for the 593xp/585… I have a feeling we have a good while to wait before seeing them. Husqvarna seem to be struggling far worse than Stihl are in supply a whole range of products.
  18. Would I be correct that you are one of the favoured Husqvarna Ambassadors that they deliver products to for publicity? And that this was not just a normal dealership sale?
  19. My dealer told me Christmas, But it might not be this year🤣
  20. It has been over six months since UK dealers could place their orders for the new Husqvarna 592xp and the 585 chainsaws. But at the moment Husqvarna have not delivered them to the dealers. Dealers still can't even get a predicted date from Husqvarna as to when they will even deliver the first batches. So for a for a bit of a laugh..... I thought to mark the six month anniversary, it would be interesting to run a sweepstake as to when people think that Husqvarna will actually start delivering a meaningful supply to UK Dealers... Sorry no prizes as I could say when Husqvarna would actually be able to deliver it....🤣
  21. The problem then comes with the HSE & your insurance company. If you not adhering to the rules and regulations on that, what else aren't you adhering to. It then does not take long to dig into what you are or have been doing. Then there, is can we see your records, risk assessments, method statements, PPE, LOLER record for the last six years please? Hmmm you seem to have a very scant approach to risk in the work place. As your not operating in accordance with HSE laws and regulations, and ICOP, Best practice. It is inevitable that at some point this was going to happen and you are therefore not covered.
  22. I have a range of helmets, Husky, Petzl and the Protos.... At first I wasn't as keen on the Protos as I thought I would be. But having used it for a while, I am very pleased with it and would have it again. I only use it for the tree work and use the others for Ground work.
  23. Afraid it does.. I do LOLER inspections of climbing kits. A well used rope, sling, harness etc that has no defect and is still in date will pass. But an unused version that is out of date won't... The problem always comes when an issue or accident arises and the insurance company and or HSE comes out and inspects everything. Then your insurance is invalidated, and HSE then fines you way more than if you had of just replaced kit. From a HSE point of view no expense is too much for your protection. Everyone has different views on where the barrier is set. but in my business I take it seriously. I value my health and ability to work and that of anyone who works with me. I think it is also something you appreciate more with age and wisdom.
