Please accept my condolences and also my apologies for the strength of my comments to you. In my defence my wife suffers badly from asthma and having previously seen her blue in the face struggling to breathe I obviously feel strongly about social distancing as she is very much at risk. These are difficult times and we should all be more thoughtful and caring of others.

At local Budgens they said people were grabbing things off the delivery truck as they were trying to unload it - good job we live in a civilised society. They'll be mugging you for your shopping as you come out of the shops next.

IIRC ozito batteries are the same as Einhell for anyone who's already got some Einhell 18v kit. Toolstation and Wickes do Einhell. Tempted as cheap and portable.

Bought one this morning for £80 whats not to like for occasional use. Seems well put together and quick test seems to work fine. 3 year warranty plus spares available. Thanks for the heads up.

Mt go to saw is my 450e which is used regularly and had it for at least 8 years. Simple to maintain and nice balance. Used in our 52ha woodland and felled hundreds of spruce and elm over the years a great simple reliable saw much better than stihl 026 and 251 which are my backup saws.

Great for left handed people and looks as if can swap over with one spanner bound to be a winner, needs work on the tensioner though!

Public rights of way: landowner responsibilities - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK As the owner or occupier of land with a public right of way across it, you must keep the route visible and not obstruct or endanger users. Does the bridleway belong to owner of trees to be extracted? If not permission is required from landowner. Motorised vehicles not permitted on Bridleway except with landowner's permission. It is a right of way and does not belong to local authority. Talk to footpaths officer they are usually very helpful regarding special situations expensive to close even for short while. -
Excellent company to deal with, when items I ordered turned out to be out of stock was phoned promptly received apology and received without asking upgraded product at no extra cost.

Can confirm my 026 still on original drum bearing can't remember when I last greased it lol, used regularly in woodland maintenance/felling/firewood. Owned from new, has been a good saw, no issues whatsoever.

Why not just ask him what he wants? Will save that disappointed look when what you get him isn't quite what he wanted.
